DID YA NOTICE

Postby froy » Sun Jul 16, 2006 2:13 am

That ever since Bush has been in office all we hear about is terrorists, bombings, beheadings and horrible war stories.
Everyday 1 negative thing after the other.

Gas at 325 a gallon

25years ago gas was 60 cents a gallon
Now it s over 3 dollars

Not getting to political here but this world is all fkded up.

I have been on this earth for 45 years and I have never seen the spirit of people so bad.

This is ridiculous.

"not getting too political".

Sadly froy, you don't understand the world. And if you blame the world on Bush - then you give one man too much credit.

Yipes, $325 a gallon, I need to get rid of my mini van. Relax pal, I know that was a typo, like a couple hundered I have done in here.

Froy my friend that is the fault of the media. They choose what to report and what not to. However, Look at what is all over the news today, Isreal and Lebannon and perhaps another full scale war in the mideast (not Bush's fault), North Korea and their agressive actions (gee isn't that wonderful clinton peace treaty working out well) and Iran. Still there are good stories on the local level and I think the media should try to include them rather than report all the negatives.

25 years ago, my parents bought a house for $30, 000. That same house today will sell for $125, 000. Now if you are the seller, you are probably not complaining to much.
But I agree with Ash, lets keep the politics over in the political forum.

Lets keep bashing JY here, uh I mean discussing Styx here.

Fair

Postby BlackWall » Mon Jul 17, 2006 8:45 am

To be fair, a lot of negative events have seemed to coincide with Bush being in office. Now, whether he is the direct root of all the world's problems, let's be real. However, there actually are a lot more negative events that could be linked to Bush than one might think.

For one thing, global warming. The United States has a president that cares absolutely nothing about the environment; there for, this problem has only become worse since he's been in office. Could the United States alone solve this problem? No, but it's got to start somewhere, and it's not even on the list of concerns for our current leader. Anyone notice how intense and bizarre the weather has been as of late?

Gas prices.. Froy does have a point, when have gas prices ever been this out of hand? Bush certainly doesn't seem to be doing much to attempt to rectify this issue. One could almost come to the conclusion that perhaps the Bush family somehow shares in these oil profits..

The answer to 9/11, invade Iraq, what else? If people were to believe the movie "Fahrenheit 9/11", there's an even darker explanation as to why Bush was so quick to distract the American people from Bin Laden.

I agree, it's been a terrible six years, and I can't wait till this term is over, that is if there's anything left by that time.

To make this music related.. Bill Champlin of Chicago reminds me a little of George W... and Styx related: "I had my car and I made the scene; didn't give a damn about no gasoline; they can go to hell".
