Where in the world are todays bands. Can't find them on tour. So how in the world will they get exposure and bring their music to the fans. With the one or two album wonders out there in done, concert promoters and venues must be concerned about the future

I'm not a big fan of most of the band's out there today but the ones I am a fan of are on tour or making an album: 3 Doors Down, Third Eye Blind, Angels And Airwaves, Plus 44, Alter Bridge, Scott Stapp, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World...all of them are currently active as well as many many more than I just am not into.

There is just nobody coming up here in the North East for the rest of the summer.

Eric Clapton, The Who, Styx, Def Leppard, Journey, Santana, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Eddie Money, Scandal, Loverboy, Boz Scaggs, Chris Isaac, Ben Harper. Mariah Carey, Poison, Cinderella, CSNY, Toby Keith, Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, Roger Waters

Opposed to

Flaming Lips, The Strokes, Keane, Snow Patrol, Drop Kick Murphy's, Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls, Godsmack

The list is just very heavily weighted toward veteran acts.

The Dave Mathews Band will be opening up for the Rolling Stones when they perform on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in Seattle, WA at Seahawks Stadium (I can't quite call that phone company Field). But The Dave Mathews Band will be around much longer than today's bubble gum bands.

Breaking Benjamin, Evans Blue, Seether, and Staind played about an hour from me a few weeks ago. Crossfade was at the state fair. The All-American Rejects, Disturbed and Godsmack have played in the area within the last year. Green Day has also, if you consider them new. Bowling For Soup is on tour. The list goes on. The newer bands are out there and several are worth seeing: check them out!!!!!
