Fun stuff!!

Today is Friday the 13th, the worst date possible for people who are superstitious. Believe it or not, however, the origins of just why this date is considered unlucky are unclear. Many theories suggest it has origins in early Christianity, with Christ being crucified on a Friday and 13 guests attending the Last Supper. Some other theories claim:

The superstition was created by primitive people. Once they reached 12, exhausting their fingers and both feet, they considered anything higher to be an evil taboo.
The date was the work of witches or an evil plot by men in early civilization to abolish the number because -- for some reason -- it was "feminine."
FRIDAY THE 13th SUPERSTITIONS:

The curses that surround Friday the 13th range from sailors and fishermen being wary of going out to sea to beliefs that hearing any piece of news on the day would add a wrinkle to your face.
In 1913, New York pastor Charles Reynolds even offered to marry couples for free, if they dared to challenge the superstitions.
An extreme superstition is that if you have 13 people who sit down to a meal together, all will die within a year.
Throughout history, many of the world's most notorious killers have had exactly 13 letters in their names, such as Jack the Ripper, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy, and Charles Manson.
Throughout history, May 13th has seen Pope John Paul II shot and seriously wounded in Rome in 1981, Vice-President Richard Nixon attacked in Latin America in 1958, and Winston Churchill promising Parliament "to wage war, by sea, land and air with all our might and strength that God can give" in 1940.
Finally, in 1993, a study in the British Medical Journal concluded that the "risk of a transport accident on Friday the 13th may be increased by as much as 52% and that staying at home was recommended." (Source: Mail & Guardian Online)
FRIDAY THE 13th ODDITIES:

More than 80 percent of high-rises lack a 13th floor.
Many airports skip the 13th gate.
Some airplanes have no 13th row of seats.
Hospitals and hotels regularly have no room number 13.
Italians omit the number 13 from their national lottery.
On streets in Florence, Italy, the house between number 12 and 14 is addressed as 12 and a half.
Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue.
In France, socialites known as the quatorziens (fourteeners) once made themselves available as 14th guests to keep a dinner party from an unlucky fate.
Many triskaidekaphobes, those who fear the unlucky integer, point to the ill-fated mission to the moon, Apollo 13.
If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck. Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy, and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names

I haven’t been there since Pieces Of Eight was new!!! I’ll never forget going there with a car load of my friends on Halloween night only to find a traffic jam and police everywhere along the Midlothian Turnpike. We did go back a few other times late at night and never found anything unusual but it was still fun. The way your headlights would shine through the low lying fog and on to the battered tomb stones as you rounded the tree cover dirt road on a crisp autumn night was really creepy. We would sit by the pond next to the graves looking into the moonlit water hoping to see the reflection of the old farm house that was once home to the grave dweller on the property. They say on some nights you can hear the cry of a baby as the old farm house appears in the distance and a blue light hovers above the graves to warm them! Hey lets all get together for a road trip….Who’s with me??? :D

What's amazing to me is how much of an ASS you are! How would you feel if someone started making up bullshit about you and posting it on the internet.

Wow... takes one to know one eh? At least what I'm saying is a joke (must have missed the smiley). The things you say are said with a real tinge of mean-spirited-ness. I'm just not being passive-agressive about it anymore.

It's not funny when people do that to someone you like is it? Perhaps you should take that as a non-too-veiled message dude.

They say that people have reported picking up a female hitch hiker in a ball gown and dropped her off on Archer Avenue near the cemetery and then she'd disappear into thin air
