Froy, Arch Allies came out in 2001..

And I wouldn't put Glen's Welcome to Hollywood in there, it's not a Styx project.

He said it's Styx related.... and in a way you're right... it blows everything Styx has done out of the water. I'm glad saved his best material for his solo project and not allow it to be cannibalized by DFB

Not much to celebrate on either side of the fence. Two full albums of new tunes (Cyclorama and Welcome), one album of covers (BBT), two live albums/compilations with a few new tunes (DDY/Orch, OWE), and the rest either pure live or compilations.

Take away anything w/o new material written by Styx and you're down to four CDs, one of which is a solo project. And Welcome is a great album.

That's an interesting comment considering that Kiss Your Ass Goodbye is on Welcome To Hollywood.

And you know, I've given this disc about a dozen spins and it doesn't hold up for me. It has a few good songs. But overall it sounds a bit disjointed. Also, even though Glen has a voice that harmonizes very well with Tommy, I don't think it is very good for a lead singer.

I strongly suggest that you give this EPIC CD another good LOUD spin.

The songs Superboy, Welcome To Hollywood, Another, Bam, Kiss Your Ass Goodbye, All Thats Yet To Come, The Muse , and damn near everyother song on this disc are pure rock poetry.

Welcome To Hollywood is over three years old now, and it's as fresh and GREAT as the day my ears first heard it.

It's epic and one of the best CD's EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta tell you Yogi...I admire your enthusiasm for it, but after listening to it about a dozen times...well...it just isn't that great a cd for me. But I am honestly glad you like it so much. I think Glen out to put you on his payroll.

Peace

It's a great CD that has a lot of good songs. Not sure about the best ever. I will say it's Glen's best album by far and has some of his strongest songwriting and music.

Also - Kansas - I'd venture to say Glen had this song written well before DFB just like he did with Killing That Thing You Love. It's interesting that Glen's version is harder edge than the DFB version.
