ROAD TRIP

Took a 2+hour roadie tonight to watch a few of my players play select baseball. I had DDY's new CD cranked for almost the entire trip. It is an EXCEPTIONAL CD!!

I do have a few suggestions if the US version is different.

#1 Crossing The Rubicon HAS to be his first or second single released over here. The song absolutely BLOWS me away. I still believe that the guitar solo after the second verse should be extended to at least one minute. It' got a Hotel California type feel, the guitar work is that good. Finally, after Dennis sings As I Cross The Rubicon on his last verse, he should at a bare minimum sing it two to three more times before the song closes. Extend this baby to 9 + minutes. It's EPIC!!

#2 Include a studio version of 'All For Love' with Glen. This is another song that could chart if Dennis's lable plays their cards correctly.

#3 I also REALLY like the song One Hundred Years From Now. If The US version is to be an all English only version. Here are my choices as to who should sing the duet with Dennis:

A) Steve Perry - In My Opinion Dennis & Steve are the two most distinct voices of OUR generation. Steve would DEFINATELY help Dennis sell CD's. This song WOULD chart today with Steve & Dennis doing vocals. It's worth a call!

B) Tommy Shaw - If Steve is a no go, give Tommy the call. This could help mend fences. Dennis has been forgiving almost to a fault. One more try.

C) Rik Emmitt- They have a GOOD history together and Rik CAN sing!!

D) Jeff Scott Soto - SMOOTH and SOULFUL singer. Listen to Talisman 7 song 'Back To The Feeling' it will give you chills.

E) Glen Burtnik- One of the most UNDERRATED singers EVER.

Why not get all of them together and form an awesome band??

I agree about All for Love, that song is quite good and a studio version would've been nice. I was hoping for it to appear on this album but no biggie, maybe for the next one 8)

I haven't listened to the CD, but I'm on board for either of these suggestions!
