Dennis, JY, Tommy on Regis and Kathie Lee right when the GH package came out and the reunion tour was gearing up.

They all seem quite happy and comfortable here.

Froy, you make me laugh.
We all know it will NEVER happen.

Sorry, Froy. I am one who does NOT want to see this again. It was nice, but it's time to cross the Rubicon for good.

Who the hell really cares anymore, anyway?? Neither Stynx or DDY are particularly relevant to the music scene these days, and are no different from old farts like Grand Funk or BTO who tour for the $$$.

Or when JYs pocket book needs an infusion of cash.

Playing 3rd on a three band bill isn't really going to accomplish that. Maybe they can lower Larry, Todd and Ricky's salaries (if they haven't already).

I heard the band is going to add "Save Me" and "Cross The Rubicon" to their setlist... they're already playing Dennis' songs... might as well play some great new ones.

That's beautiful. I have that episode on tape somewhere. I didn't have an internet connection back then and had NO IDEA what was going on about a possible reunion, other than the re-recording of Lady. But I thought that was a one time thing. I just remember reading that STYX was going to be on Regis in TV Guide earlier in the week, so I just set my VCR not knowing what to expect. I figured it was maybe going to be Dennis by himself. I got home from work and rolled the tape and was in SHOCK to see all 3 of them in the same room! I will never forget watching that episode with my jaw dropped to the ground when all 3 of them came out from the back.
Walking on water?? What kind of wussy miracle is that??? Tommy, Dennis and JY are in the same room together!! NOW THAT IS A MIRACLE!!
My ex-wife was laughing at me while I was watching it because I had tears of joy in my eyes. And I was probably hyperventilating!

Who knew that little episode was going to get the Whole train a 'rollin again.
Well, at least for 2 years!

I hear you on the tears of joy. I got into Styx in the mid-80s, which was a terrible time if a person was entertaining thoughts of seeing them perform live. I remember driving home and hearing the local classic rock station promoting the concert with the classic lineup in '96 and couldn't believe my ears! At the show, I was grinning from ear-to-ear when they started in with RTP and there were several other times I welled up with tears of joy (as discreetly as possible, to avoid my wife noticing :) ). Of course, then I remember being equally bummed about hearing the news about Dennis in '98. I've seen the new lineup several times and I think they put on one heck of a show, but '96 was still the best.

but '96 was still the best

I agree with you 100%. The new line-up is very entertaining, but 96 was the best show I ever saw.
I just watched the Return to Paradise Video on Saturday Night! (For about the 100th time!)

I love the RTP video! I wish they would've included Little Suzie and the acoustic versions of Light Up and Lights that I heard at the show I went to, but that's a minor complaint. Maybe someday we'll see the Return to Return to Paradise tour--LOL!
