If they're playing in Canada, they will play Suite Madame Blue - because if they don't, they likely won't make it out of the area alive. Kinda like how they were in selling out to Japan when they played Babe.

The bad part is that in addition to playing it, they'll sing it too...

I have to admit, I'm a bit curious as to how that song will sound on Tuesday night. I WILL sit through it, just out of curiosity. Yes, I'm going to the concert and no, I haven't changed loyalties, I'm allowed to like both DDY and Styx! So there. (Not a fan of Gowan, but still want to get a good look at Tommy Shaw!) I've wanted to go to a Def Leppard show for ages (like 20 years!).

And yes, I have to admit, I doubt the Montrealers will let them out of the Bell Center if they don't play SMB. I would let them out - but I'm an import and not a real local. :-)

You may have seen this on youtube before, but if you haven't, maybe this will prepare you for the concert.

Actually, I am interested in seeing the reaction of the crowd to that song given how popular DDY is in Quebec (of course, Gowan as a solo artist was also really popular in Quebec). Would they avoid singing it in order to avoid comparions with Dennis' version?

Also, how do you work such a long song into a shortened set which already includes Come Sail Away and Renegade. Given how popular Gowan's solo stuff is in Quebec, will he be singing Criminal Mind? This will be a tough set list for Styx to choose. Since it is Styx's goal to play to a new "rockier" crowd, how will they juggle the set for this one?

Yes they will play it.. They have played it in the US on the dates that it's just "Styx" opening for Def Leppard instead of Styx/Foreigner.. etc.

Don't be surprised if they don't do Crystal Ball and put A Criminal Mind in the setlist for Montreal too..
