Tommy Shaw Live Album

Does anyone know why Tommy never put a live album out for either the Girls With Guns tour (to go alongside the classic MTV special) or the Ambition tour where he opened for Rush? Those were great sets - especially the Rush tour. Rush put out A Show Of Hands for that tour - Tommy should hve put something out to go alongside it. I personally think he blew Rush off the stage when I saw it and his live album would have done likewise!

There isn't exactly a big demand for a Tommy Shaw live album. Or any Tommy Shaw album, for that matter.

I personally think he blew Rush off the stage when I saw it and his live album would have done likewise!

I have it as a seven song recording. At least I have 7 songs from a "Live In Japan" album by Tommy Shaw in my iTunes. For whatever that is worth.

Because about 8 people would buy it.

His mother
His wife
His daughter
And you and the other 4 bathwater drinkers on this board.

There was the GWG Westwood One Radio Show on LP which was recorded the same time as the MTV special. I circulated that one in the early 90s and it seemed to make the rounds. ;)

The TS Live in Japan is an EP recorded on the What If tour. It has the following tracks:
1. Remo's Theme (What If)
2. See Me Now
3. Boat On The River
4. Nature Of The Beast
5. Slow Down

Hope that helps.

There is also a show from Montgomery in '85 - Girls With Guns. I think it is a radio broadcast.

He does everything from GWG but Free To Love You, and does Crystal Ball, Renegade, BCM, Too Much Time.

Yes this is what I have - but I have two more songs:

Crystal Ball
Instrumental

They sound like the same era and have the Sax, so I know they're TS solo songs.

I don't know if anyone downloaded any of these songs, but if you did, where are your manners.? Thank you, styxfanNH for posting the songs for download for those interested.

I am not a huge fan of Tommy solo, but I did dl a couple of them and they were ok, but not something I wanted to keep.

You were very nice to do this.

Thanks Bugsy. Just part of my nature to share this stuff that's why I do it. Just fortunate enough to have this stuff and have relatively quick access to it. But you know that.

Besides, this board is more about bitching than sharing now. So the fact that no besides yourself has said anything is no surprise.

Summer vacation is now over and I am back to work/school tomorrow with the kids coming in on Wednesday, so my freetime is a bit more limited. I'll share where I can.

you are the man dude. I never have the patience to share... and then when I do half the time I screw up the file name or the link or something - so I stopped trying. :)

It's easy to share when you have 2 months in the summer to kick back and relax and do stuff like the youtube stuff, my website and these downloads. Now its dealing with the homies at work and trying to make them productive individuals that will run our country and pay our retirement. Man is that depressing to some extent....
