Been watching the dvd for the past few days. What was up with tommy going in the crowd during cold war? Was that a routine during that tour or just a one time thing? The look on dennis/jy's face were priceless. I'd dare him to try to do that today. Good luck with getting back on stage lol.

It was a routine thing for that tour.

I always wondered about the girl who hops up on stage during the last verse of "Come Sail Away." Contest winner? Friend of a friend of the band? It had to be deliberate in some way...

I used to watch that part over and over... I think that you can see the cord for his guitar follow him down the aisle... sadly I lost that VHS (and a Zeppelin bootleg :( ) on one of my many moves during the college years.

I was there that night, filmed at the Saenger theater in New Orleans (over four shows, one show was cancelled due to flooding in the area).
It was great when he ran through the audience, totally unexpected, but obviously staged. The camera guy and his body guards are with him through each part of it. I always thought the girl jumping up at the end was a suprise. DDY' s expression was funny, TS comes to try and bail out his happily married lead singer.

A bit of trivia, I believe Tommy confessed later, that it was the night of the cancelled show where Chuck confessed his "secret lifestyle" to him. I guess Chuck turning away 500 groupies prior to that was not a dead give away.
