The vast majority of those attending the shows don't care for the tracks above nor do they listen to the first three Journey albums. With that in mind the setlist ticks most boxes. Anything "deeper" than that will have to wait until the next JTT club tour.
The_Noble_Cause wrote:So much for teased "rare deep cuts."
Fans who attended the band's tour kick-off show in Hershey, Pa were largely treated to the same ole, same ole.
I guess this is what happens when your lead singer only shows up to rehearsal 2 days before a tour.….'

Neal, Jason, Todd and Deen (on vocals) rehearsed Loving You is Easy, Walks Like a Lady, and Stay Awhile so unless these or others appear later in the tour it will be because of Cain not Arnel.

They did do a medley so that’s new.
...while these songs may have been played before they haven’t all been played in one set.

I do agree that the deep cuts are not that deep. Honestly, I feel like the best way to get deep cuts for sure are to play post-Perry era tunes.

Where did AR share an upload?

Scroll up. He shared a YT link of the entire concert. Shot by Jim Powers (YouTuber who seemingly goes to concerts, films them, and uploads them).

Couple different. Tweaked order.

Being a product of the Infinity/Evolution/Departure era, I want to ask these crazies what they were thinking leaving for the beer or pee break during those songs! But...I do realize a large majority of Journey fans came on board with Escape, thus missing the best era of the band and not knowing any better.
I'd pay good money to just hear these three albums in their entireties - Call the event Re-Captured!. Not sure what vocalist(s) could ever pull that off.
In fairness to the band, this does illustrate the challenge they have figuring out what to play, knowing only a very small percentage of the crowd will appreciate the deep cuts.
danielb wrote:In what way? He is clearly live helped by the wall of background vocals for the choruses.
If he hadn't been live then surely they would have aimed to disguise the way he's struggling range wise. He sounds OK and gets an A for effort but he clearly has to struggle to get there.
