I'm thinking of changing it so that he's holding baby Arnel.

Give him little horns and a tail.

Nah, he'd get a halo. With a voice like that, if there is a heaven, that guy is for sure gettin' in.

I'm kind of glad Deen didn't sing. Just because it further cements Arnel as the singer. I'm sure that Arnel could do Mother Father too. Still, Deen does a heck of a job.

I have to ask, maybe I've missed it- What's your beef with Cain other than the crying stuff? Seems a decent songwriter. decent piano player. horrible dancer. I love that running in place clip from the Japanese Escape tour. Oy!

Great musician, but the songwriting... meh. With others, he's much better.
I think he works better among a collaboration.

The stuff he does with Journey's really good. I had one solo album of his and it was decent, but he's not a good vocalist, so it suffered. Piano with a View blows though. Blech....

stevew2 wrote:This was my first show seeing Journey with Arnel. My last was with Jeff in2006 and before that with Steve Augeri 18 times. To start with ,I got there late, and the end of Cheap Trick, I was going to rush in ,then saw Friga s mug on the screen next to the big $10.00 cans of beer, and the pisser next store. I went for door # 2.{not Friga playin keys for CT} When in with that huge can, and saw Heart they were so fuckin good.Ann sang her ass of. Nancy slayed me. She still looks hot, they way she move s.I was 2inches away from a full boner. She played mandoline, and sang a solo song. her voice was so sweet, everything about her was sweet. she will be mine later. {if ya know what i mean}.Went out on the next break but another big ass can of $10.00 beer. Bud light this time.came back to hear Never Walk Away, made the whole row move so I could get back to our seats{which we never used} They sounded great. Then they did Only The Young [ my favorite}Arnel blew me away{just like hid did when I heard him do that song on the remakes.}From then on it just got better and better. He nailed every song.He gave it eveything he had.I was so impressed.I was in 5 th row, and half the time there was no one in front of us. We made eye contact and hand gestures and all, he made contact with my daughter also, mimiked her head shakes and hair swirling gestures as well. He worked the crowd personally. No bullshit.I looked at Neal twice. Friga stared at my shirt for 8 seconds, Ross laughed and shook his head. The band kinda looked boring me, maybe because ive been there done that,or because of the baggage.Arnel more than made up for it.Then Friga grabbed his mouth harp. I had to piss, and the last thing I wanted to see was Frigas mouth blowing on something.I hit the head, and of course they locked the $10.00 cans of beer away, Shit.Came back for the encore, tipped over the can I had left, people were scambling like the was a toxic substance on there shoes, one guy left [fuck him} this was the best show I saw since 2003 when Steve A was in his prime. I didnt get to trashed so I remember it all. I had a dude trying to give me a almost full bottle of wine on the way out WTF? Thats all I need. I took a few swings and gave it back.I had a great time. I wasnt crazy about Arnel fronting Journey in the beginning [you all know that} But he was such a good showman and his vocals were flawless. I was dead wrong before.I didnt notice any accent issues, and again I was really impressed how personable he was. I know when I make contact with someone. We hooked up tonight {not in a gay way either Friga} Journey better appericiate him. The crowd dug him also.If anyone has any reservations about seeing Journey with Arnel, flush um down the can. he is fucking good period.Go hear him belt out the tunes. If you dont like it you could be #1Gay, #2 deaf#3 retarded. thats is my reveiw, please dont delete it Andrew, it was hard for me to do this{if you know what i mean} sorry for any [many] spelling issues. I would like to meet Arnel off stage one day.I like that dude

I envy you!
You got to see them till the end of the show.

I had to leave early cause my GF and I started to feel "wasted" halfway on the Journey concert after each of us had downed five of those 10 dollar long can budlights. My car was full of vomit and I cant even remember how the hell was I able to drive back home to Gaithersburg.

Steve, you are perceptive enough to know these people are making fun of you correct?

Probably inside jokes I'm sure. As an outsider it reads that way.

Sorry if I am not in on the joke all. Looks like a bunch of high school bullies picking on the innocent who are not in on it. I just hope this is all friendly stuff.

Ok, thanks. That's fair I think, and I kind of thought that. It reads really poorly over time though. That's what happens when you aren't in on it I guess. :?

Glad to hear it, but it does still read a bit disrespectful to those on the outside, and is a poor reflection to newbies I know who do not want to post.

Guys, gals, I have lurked here forever and finally posted a bit reluctantly over the last year. I have seen Steve called "retarded" and "illiterate" and it has always bothered me.

All of the sudden this is all in love and in jest? That stuff wasn't hateful? This reminds me of high school bullies finding a mascot. Again, I am not in on it, and may not have the info, but the vibe is oh so there.
