If he did, I lost it in the Mcain=Bush talking point they've repeated ad nauseum throughout this campaign.

Yes, Biden is certainly knowledgeable on foreign policy. However, it's the APPLICATION of that knowledge that is concerning to me.

Well, I will state the obvious. After last week's debate and after this debate, Obama/Biden will win, unless Obama blows it in the next two debates, which I don't anticipate.

The polls are rolling in on the major networks, and the numbers don't lie. Palin did well, but according to a vast majority of those polled, she got smoked. I don't agree, but I'm only one "man".
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives

Well, to me, they're probably saying he won because even though she held her own and came across really well, she reverted back many times to talking points instead of answering the question in a detailed and direct way, which Biden did to every question. Biden was excellent.

Her winking really bothered me too, Enigma, and the six-pack. Please.

To Puppet Palin's credit, she didn't melt down on the stage like I thought she might. That said, she didn't directly answer more than half of the questions that were posed to her. Her approval ratings have dropped almost 20% since the RNC (and this is from people who actually were supporting her). I believe there are many people (including those who support McCain) who have grave concerns about Palin's readieness for the job of VP! I still think that because there were ZERO expectations for Palin, that the McCain camp will get a bit of a boost from this debate. If McCain is smart, he will not allow Puppet Palin ANYWHERE near a microphone between now and election day. Palin does fine when she can jump all over the place, without anyone holding her feet to the fire to answer the question that was actually asked. When she is in a one on one interview, with nobody to deflect the question to, and an interviewer who isn't backing off of a question, she is DREADFUL!

So let me get this straight. We have a Vice Presidential Nominee.. on the Republican side, who has openly said in her debate that she couldn't answer in the way that we ALL wanted to hear because she's only been at this for 5 weeks! but at the same time wants to speak directly to the American people? Holy shit! My hips are in my chest.

Okay, we get it, she's hot. I'd bang the living shit out of her. But it is a clear indication that Governor Palin has NO IDEA how to answer any questions about what was asked to her. She kept ignoring certain issues and went on to what she was most comfortable answering..not only that she could not even give a confident response during the time of ignore to Joe Biden's answers. She relied on what she has done in Alaska, and made it quite known that she stumbled at places when she had to keep repeating "while she was Governor of Alaska..while she was Governor of Alaska..while she was Governor of Alaska" and how McCain is a "Maverick.....is a Maverick, is a Maverick." It was the same 'ol same ol' from Palin's side and never really took the opportunity to tell US what their plan was for moving America forward.

Biden looked into the camera numerous times, and explained in detail what their philosophy was, how they are going to change the United States, and how they view the world as a whole, esp. in the area of other countries and our allies. The debate over the Iraqi war was laughable. Palin insists on how they are motivated to win this war and how .. in time.. we ARE going to win this war. Bullshit. We need to get the hell out of dodge before our kids keep dying more and more everyday and before we burn MORE BILLIONS of dollars each month supporting a war we shouldn't even be in .. in the first place. We need to pull out and focus on the REAL threats in this world, starting with Iran and Pakistan.

BTW, what's with Palin getting names wrong in political names? This didn't happen once, but 3 or 4 times. Plain and simple...she didn't know what she was talking about about 85% of this debate. Hopefully America will OPEN THEIR GODDAMN EYES and be smart in their decision and not elect morons in power.. just like they did not once, but twice.

Great...Well, I just summoned my wife to start sewing a red uniform for my son's upcoming mandatory obama youth corps service. Back in the day, communist Poland forced her and her fellow students to hand pick potatos, so she is really excited...

Are you kidding me? These are political names that in respect to leaders of the U.S.A.. should know! By heart! We are talking about names that have the opportunity to shake America's foundation. There are thousands upon thousands of American soldiers out there.... they serve their country and represent the Unites States of America. 100% of the American people don't know the names of our American soldiers, unless they are printed out in a government document. I'll tell you this... Obama sure knows of his surrounding outside of America and makes sense when he talks about it. Palin's hiccups on the political names proved that she knows jack shit about what REALLY is going on around here.

It was a cheap shot that I don't think you would have taken at Palin if she were a Democrat. Quite frankly, you don't have the first clue about her family or how she mothers her children. How would you like people who don't know you taking below the belt shots at your parenting, Lula?

whoa! back off barb. if you read what i wrote i said it was a personal feeling and not an attack on her mothering. has absolutely nothing to do with her party. as a new mom i can't get enough of my son. i said i was uncomfortable with her interaction or lack of. go ahead and comment on my parenting, i'll defend myself to the end. you are way out of line.

No, what you said was it doesn't speak well of her mothering. You are the one out of line and I would not stoop so low as to attack you on your mothering skills.

Barb, my memory is she said she wasn't talking about her mothering, but that she was commenting on the one situation, Sarah Palin holding the baby up there on stage with all the noise bothered her. I know for sure Lula did not say it did not speak well of her mothering.

I don't get the comment either. She was holding her obviously very tired child while engaging in conversation with her family. How was she supposed to interact? Breastfeeding?

i should have left the damn thing. i said i was uncomfortable with her infant being out in the noise. it was her appearance right after the debate and the crowd was loud. i said her lack of interaction with her son when he was brought on stage bothered me. i said i was not speaking to her ability to mother; that it was a personal thing. i prefaced by saying i knew i was opening myself to being slammed. i deleted it because i figured it would not be understood as i meant it. clearly barb read what i wrote, but has twisted it.... my word against hers

Consider yourselves lucky you were spared the embarassment of our country's "debate", which aired at the same time (I was flipping back and forth, yours was much more entertaining). Ours - basically 4 party "leaders" the entire time attacking the current Prime Minister - who I am in no way defending - I am not a supporter of him or his party.
But geez - I don't need to hear what he's done wrong - I already know that. I need to do what they are going to do better. Not one of them answered that question for me tonight.
