Thanks for your post Lora and Cyndy. I never doubted that Steve could still sing. You ladies have a alot of class. I am so jealous that you get to talk to Steve and interact with him. I'm still waiting for his phone call. Please tell him my offer to buy dinner is still on. PM me if he needs my cell number again. Have a great week!

Once Andrew posted the info that the interview was a) pending b) not perry 3 weeks ago you had to surmise it would be something like the HH interview, and as such unless the lunch was held a month ago, it doesn't matter if it was before or after the interview.

The second he found out the news of the coming interview here (and board speculation ran rampant to the fact that it WAS Herbie) he knew he'd have to gameplan some damage control.

The Pawn he uses to manipulate his fans, which is the ambiguity and mystery of his singing voice, took some shrapnel.
That's countered by leaking info about demos.

Definately an agenda, not that I blame him for counteracting the interview. But it can;t be denied that's what it was.

This type of shit is so thoroughly disgusting. What right do you have to accuse anyone of being less than forthright? Everyone is so full of BS conspiracy theories. Can’t you simply say thanks for the info? It’s disrespectful.

Let’s be honest. Do you really think Steve Perry has some need to go contradict anything old bitter Herbert has to say? I’m sure Herbie’s comments are hurtful, but honestly. You are taking all of this just a bit too seriously. So much so that you disrespect one of the finest people I know. You should apologize.

1) You don't like it, beat it.
2) Yes, I DO think perry has a need to contradict herbie, or counteract EVERYthing Journey does.
The proof is in the actions since 1998.

I see. You and your like are the only ones that can criticize a post?

The only contradiction I have seen from Steve Perry is his desire for the band not to continue without him. Everything else has been requests from Sony/Legacy. Every single person on this board wanted so bad to have the Houston show and the Journey videos available via DVD. So it happened. For whatever reason (one I really could care less about) the decision was made to re-release the Perry-era catalog. Certainly, post-Perry catalog will never be redone as there is no fan support behind it. So Perry says sure, I’ll help out. And somehow, that contradicts whatever Journey has going? That is your argument? Hmmmm. So was Schon & Hammer a contradiction to Journey? Was HSAS? Was Vital Information? Was Herbie taking on Eric Martin a contradiction? Why is it that only Steve Perry seems to be the only enemy here?

This is a stupid, stupid argument you guys make. And you are so convinced of this crazy theory that you insult people who do the best every day to get up, do their job, take care of their loved ones, and be good humans. It really makes you much less of a person than you can be.

Dude, your take on everything Perry has just gotten plain laughable. You have become amusement for all. As Ralph Wiggum once said, "he's funny, but not ha ha funny".
That said, is Joe Paterno even still alive?

Postby StoneCold » Tue Apr 01, 2008 6:44 am

I could be wrong but I highly doubt SP monitors this board and cares what we write. You think with all that dough that he can't find better ways to spend his time?

The only "timing" that coincides is that Lora shared some info with us since HH decided to bash SP (again). Lora and Cyndy probably have insight into a lot of this that they can't share.

HH & SP both contributed in their day and had a feud, big deal. I don't care either way.

Oh oh. Someone kept Joe Pa out of the Steve Perry loop. Laws must have been broken! I forgot that Journey fans everywhere are entitled to know every single thing that goes on in Steve Perry's life. Anything less than that is a contradiction to Journey itself!

Lora, can you fire off a letter, no wait, call Steve Perry and let him know that he has made a serious error in not informing Joe Pa of his latest moves please? Maybe he can offer himself up for public lashing.

Not a dis to the band or the man... but dang that was funny as all get out. Doesn't sway me one way or the other in the present argument though. The whole situation was just bust ass funny!

well, it certainly was not meant in the way that *you* interpreted it. Lay down your rediculous assumptions. In this particular case, promotional people = tools. i.e. items that a person uses to get a job done.

The word was carefully chosen to establish the fact that while certain people involved want to claim this is merely an informal relationship, it's really not. Steve Perry is still listed as a client on FA's website and Steve Perry himself has made it clear that all 'official' press releases would happen through FA. L&C are indeed promotional tools for all things Steve Perry. They lack significant independance with regards to their relationship with him....sorry, thats the way I see it.

I was not using the word like a college student, i.e. 'you're a tool'

I guess we interpret things the way we're used to. How many people do you call 'tool' every day? or how often do people say 'you're a tool' to you?

Can you explain how casual talk about recording some ideas constitutes a gameplan of damage control.??????
Perry is too sharp to get caught in a war of words with Mr Bitter. You are trying to get 2 plus 2 to equal 7 - its like you went to school with George Bush ...........
