What I find more deplorable about the Gibson interview is the following issues:

* Gibson misquoted Palin with regards to her "God" statement, ABC then followed up with the quote (with relevant parts omited), Gibson then hammered Palin to answer the question...Palin at one point said "I think you're misquoting me"...and Palin's claim of misquoting was conveniently edited from the final review. Sad!

* Gibson, throughout the entire interview, treated Sarah Palin like a hostile witness on the stand, instead of a VP candidate. He wouldn't have hammered Obama at all, with the same nasty, down-talking, disrespectful demeanor. It was offensive to watch.

I suspect (and hope), this interview will eventually be met with disdain as well (media 0 - palin 2)...as brow beating a woman does nothing but mobilize women to vote for her. This tactic was one that the Republican's learned a hard lesson from, as Rick Lazio effectively gave the senatorial race to Hilary Clinton in 2000...after he forcefully browbeat Clinton in a televised debate. Women who were card carrying republicans immediately changed their vote to Clinton and the rest is, as we say, history.

This is yet another piece of proof of the media's disdain for the right and it's attempt to act as advocate for the left and B. Hussein Obama. There is *no* way Charlie Gibson attacks Hussein Obama the way he attacked Palin....under any circumstance. Hell, even that horses ass Bill Oreily treated Obama with more respect than Gibson treated Palin.

Boy, looking at the way both interviews were done, it is striking the difference in Gibson's tone.

First of all, bullshit.

Secondly, let's talk about biased tones: compare O'Reilly's glossing-over-the-facts spot with McCain versus his misguided and amateurish crucifixion of Obama.

Nope...I just finished watching both interviews. His tone is strikingly different in Palin's interview. Still listening and it sounds like he's either sick with a bad cold or he just doesn't want to be there.

Ya, O'Reilly really crucified Obama... he can't wait to go play basketball with him, lol. Besides, O'Reilly is obviously a conservative and you would THINK he'd be a bit tougher on Obama than the fawning main stream media, but he wasn't really that tough.

Charlie Gibson is supposed to be an impartial news man. What a complete joke. It's okay though -- Sarah can take it and it only makes her and McCain stronger. Obama has no idea how to deal with a hostile media and that's why he had a little melt down earlier this week when the heat was briefly turned up on him.

Palin's numbers are already taking a hit. She is on the way down, and she is a drag on the ticket.

You said the same kind of thing last week about there being no bump from the Republican convention and then the polls came out showing just the opposite. Why should we believe you now? There's no way the polls could already be showing her "on the way down" when the interview was just last night. As proof, the polls on realclearpolitics.com only have two that go through yesterday and those don't factor in last night's interview since it was so late in the evening.

FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska - Vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's assertion that she believes humans play a role in climate change — made in her first major interview since joining the Republican ticket — is at odds with her previous statements. Palin said she didn't disagree with scientists that the problem can be attributed to "man's activities."

"Show me where I have ever said that there's absolute proof that nothing that man has ever conducted or engaged in has had any effect or no effect on climate change. I have not said that," Palin told ABC News in an interview broadcast Thursday and Friday.

However, in the past Palin has said she does not believe global warming is caused by human activity. She has told the Internet news site Newsmax, "A changing environment will affect Alaska more than any other state, because of our location. ... I'm not one, though, who would attribute it to being man-made."

In an interview with a Fairbanks newspaper within the last year, Palin said: "I'm not an Al Gore, doom-and-gloom environmentalist blaming the changes in our climate on human activity." ABC cited the interview as being at odds with her statement.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain has said humans have caused climate change.

In the ABC interview, Palin said she believes that "man's activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change. ... Regardless, though, of the reason for climate change, whether it's entirely, wholly caused by man's activities or is part of the cyclical nature of our planet — the warming and the cooling trends — regardless of that, John McCain and I agree that we gotta do something about it."

I wasn't the one who made the "no bump" claim. Sorry, Dave. Try again.

Anyway, she got caught contradicting herself again.

And whoa! Look at the issue - global warming!

It seems even the ULTRA-conservatives are starting to begrudgingly admit the error in their ways of thinking the past twenty years.

My bad...You didn't say NO bounce, you said...

7 Wishes wrote:I hate to tell you Palin-worshippers this, but McCain/Palin's bounce has been less than expected. The Republicans still trail by between 3 and 8 points in every major poll.

That was untrue even at that time as I responded to you only six minutes later...

conversationpc wrote:The CBS News poll has them in a tie. Rasmussen has Obama by +2 and CNN has Obama at +1.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... a-225.html

The average lead for Obama is +3.8 and that is within the normal range for a statistical dead heat.

All taken from http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/vie ... 99&start=0

My statement still stands in regards to the poll numbers being down after last night's interview when the polls haven't even factored it in yet.

NEW YORK - John McCain is mocked as an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate in a television commercial out Friday from Barack Obama as the Democrat begins his sharpest barrage yet on McCain's long Washington career.

You must be blind and deaf, as well as ignorant (something proven with your lack of knowledge of islam). If you can't see a clear and apparent difference in treatment of the two candidates...you're several tracks short a night ranger album. Really. To anyone that has watched both interviews, you're posts are more rediculous with each keystroke.

Barb, unless there's an October Surprise (which wouldn't surprise me with the low class Dems), Barrack Hussein Obama's numbers have no where to go but down. Historically, the dumbocrat candidate loses ground from the conventions to the election. The dumbocrats that win, win through either preventing the leakage or battling an inept republican. With McCain's numbers surging, the latter is clearly not the case....and with Obama's campaign going into panic mode to try to undercut Palin, they're going to lose track of tempering leakage...

It's really the beginning of the end for the empty vessel from Illinois.

But no comments whatsoever in seven days now on the irrefutable proof that Couric edited tapes to make McCain look good. I didn't think so. HYPOCRITES.
