He's outside my window right now, shovelling snow and singing at the top of his voice..........."my old man's a dustman, he wears a dustman's hat, he drinks pints of Guinness and loves his fluffy cat.........."

Pure Genius.

STEVE STFU!!!!!!!!!! And clear that snow from the path. Otherwise there is no chocolate for you.

The Pub's called "The Open Arms" he was drinking Guinness and eating Cadbury's chocolate.

I offered to buy him another Pint. He said "no thanks" but would I mind if he sang to me? I said, "oh, well, if you really must."

And he sang at the top of his voice to the whole Pub.
I didn't even know he knew the lyrics to "My Old Man's A Dustman."

It sounded bloody good I'll tell you. Be better with a nice guitar solo and a bit of reverb on his vocal, but, hey it impressed me.

When it's released, you'll see.

Well that explains it, you got him mixed up with Gbot. He's mentioned....that happens all the time.

Gunbot is scary when he mixes the Guiness with the Cadbury............just scary...................

Just trying to help you all with your digestion.
All this excitement plays havoc with your system.

So when is the new album coming out?

Madsplash, again it is the tone, not the message, and the frequency of the tone and the message, and the ongoing posting of the tone and the message, and yet again the tone and message, and yes we get it already......... :D But I guess we'll see right?   BTW Lora and Andrew hands down are going to be more respected here. Don't bite the hand that runs the message board.........unless your Rockindeano, but Andrew got shots later.........

My tone is me and It's not meant to be arrogant. I'm a very confident person and don't mean to come off as arrogant or cocky.
I'm not trying to gain respect over anyone here. Just posting what I'm told. Whether or not what I'm told happens will be shown to be true or not.
I have many things that I'm in control of and that I oversee. I understand what it's like to be reponsible for things and I wouldn't challenge the authority and the dedication it takes to run a place like this.

And by the way, I Hate Guinness. I'm an American Bud Light drinker. I know, I know, it's supposed to be a "wussy, watered-down, American beer", but it also doesn't taste like a freakin' milkshake and doesn't give me a headache.

I've been a Coors Light drinker for as long as I've drank beer, but lately I've started to experiment with other beers, including ales and dark beers. And the one that I've found that I like more than any other is Shiner Bock. Give that one a shot.

Thanks Rick. Will do.

Laugh with us bud, lifes too short!   Cadbury eggs make me ill, looks like raw eggs inside, who is the genius who came up with that?

Well it IS a watered down American beer, but it tastes fine in my opinion.
Now what about English Cadbury's chocolate?
Post something nice about that and you will win friends and influence people.

I would, but I don't know what in the hell that is! I've had Cadbury Eggs at Easter with all the goo inside of the chocolate, but that's all that I know.
Enlighten me.

http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/vie ... hp?t=39940

Its one of the most fabulous tasting chocolates in the world. Its yummy! And it does NOT taste nice with Guinness. I was only joking about that, although Gunbot might disagree.

I agree, those creme egg thingies are a bit BLECH.
The pure Dairy Milk bar is pretty good though.

You need to get some from a store which sells the stuff from England. Someone local to you will know where you can buy the real deal from.

I hear that Hershey bars taste like vomit, so Cadbury has to be better than that, right?

We have two forms of Cadbury here, the one sold through Hershey and the imported one. The ones that are imported are a little richer but very close in taste to the ones distributed by Hershey.

I like Cadbury chocolate, and Carmello's.

My husband has an adversion to Cadbury eggs, he bit into one and it had a peice of glass in it! Didn't cut his mouth though, it was shaped like a pebble.

"Omg omg Steve SANG!! He SANG!!!! This MEANS something!! (We'll seeee!!) He's gearing up for something BIG!!"

Nope. Let's all dry out our britches here. Means nothing.
Means he did whatever he did, on his own time, and that's all it means.

See, that's the thing that YOU don't get. A lot of people DO care. Just because you don't, doesn't mean that others don't.

Don't tell me what I do or do not get. I "get" it just fine. I will care about whatever he chooses to release publically. This wasn't intended for that, and it's never going to be shown to us, so I'm not going to spend all my time worrying about what happened and what it might meeeeeean in terms of all these wonderful plans you keep informing us exist.

madsplash wrote:Remember when I first posted here that he was working on new stuff and many said I was making it up and now that's been PROVEN to be true

Oh give me a break. I rarely if ever resort to cussing people out around here (except Deano, but we just try to speak his language), but you are one serious dumbass. Nothing has been "PROVEN". He got up in some bar or club and sang, that's it, and that does not indicate one way or another whether he will release something. For all you know he got up and sang Happy Birthday to his neighbor's kid's fucking dog. A lot of us have been hearing about a release since long before your Special Ed ass showed up here and if and when it happens, you're not going to get all the praise we all know you think you deserve.

And do not call me arrogant, Mr. "Remember what I posted, well it is now PROVEN true."

I'm not one to tell a person how to run their board, but Andrew, seriously... when is the hammer coming down on this character?

I am fairly new to this forum, and have enjoyed it immensely, while reading many of the threads. I have come to notice however that you, BJG, have very definite opinions on things that matter to you. Mad has his opinions which he feels strongly about too. The one difference I see however, is that you get very aggresive, hostile and beligerent. You demand that Mad be shut down. What gives you the right to behave like this. I don't see him responding back to you in a like manner. You don't like his tone, fine, move on, don't read his post, but no, you get right out of control, and become abusive. If anyone needs a reprimand, you come to mind first. Grow up and get a grip, this is supposed to be fun.

2 months here and you're telling me to go somewhere else? Wrong. I have ALWAYS played nice on this forum, avoided the drama, and gotten along very well with people, apart from several random and not real important debates that I can count on one hand with digits to spare. For two years I have gotten along with basically everyone here, and I've met a very large number of them in person, and made really awesome friends, so don't even think about calling me out.

I've not said anything different to or about madsplash that the majority has also been saying for months now, and I was a whole lot nicer than some others have been, and as I stated, I rarely if ever say things like that to people here and this whole board can tell you that. Fact is, that attitude of his is seriously getting on peoples' nerves and I'm damn sure not the only one who has said it, and that's been going on for at least four months, that I can recall.

I'm not even about to have drama here. This is beyond lame.

BJG is one of the best posters on this site. She usually doesn't go after someone unless she's had it up to her eye lids, and apparently she has. She's as cool as a cucumber usually though. Just let her vent and all will be well. ;) I've done the same. Haven't I MS?

Thanks for your response, it just screams attitude. Point made. I am not suggesting you go somewhere else, but rather lighten up, chill out, take a qualude, have a cup of tea...........stop the ranting.

I am not suggesting in anyway that BJG is not a "good poster". Having said that though, everytime I have "had" it with someone does not grant me persmission to be abusive and go off on them. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and most of them stink. Being a big person means accepting that, and moving on. Children vent.

If it's lame.....let it go. My attitude is fine. You're very aggressive and that's ok. This all about fun and fandom to me.
Again, for every person who's nerves I've gotten on, I can list you one or two right back who've I've talked to privately who are thankful. Some are shy about posting here for fear of getting attacked. I'm not.

Why can't we all get along and talk about Cadbury eggs?

Your last line says it all, Cheeky. Children vent. You're very intuitve and are a laid back, mature poster. This place could use more like you.
If I attacked someone every time I had "had it" with them, I would seem like a very mean and violent person, which I'm not.
It's all good. Everything will work itself out soon enough.

Wow, you're right about the assholes.

Dude, whatever. I certainly do not attack people just because I've "had it". The only other person I can think of here that made me mad enough to say something (once!) was Tito and I LIKE him. And do not even try to call anyone childish until you take that signature down. THAT is childish.

Something I love about BJG, she gets upset tells you what the bug is up her chimney, and moves on. She holds no grudges, and gets it out of her craw. I think I have had a butt chewing by her in the beginning come to think of it, probably deserved it.

With every butt chewing I got, I learned something new, and about people on this site. When I have asked newbies to get to know people before getting upset, it is because there are things about each poster here that you cannot learn overnight. The vets have earned their stripes, and even if they come across harsh, sometimes they are trying to do you a favor.

Rockindeano has busted my chops a few times  , Rick, Rip, and Finalfight taught me to take it easy, get to know folks here. I have disagreed with folks here, and still do on some things, but I cannot say I hate anyone.

Sometimes people tell you things here to help you learn to navigate through this site smoother, and with fewer scars to show from it!

Cheekymonkey, BJG is a golden lady, I have a great deal of respect for her. If she is mad at me she tells me, and not in third person either, I have had people talk about me in third person, like I don't exist, or I cannot fathom they are talking about me   And I am not talking about you when I say that either, I don't think you and I have had any problems to date.........that I am aware of!

This site is wonderful, such deep personalities, and passionate oppinions. I have given madsplash a hard time, but not because I hate him, it is because his persistance wears me thin sometimes. I am glad he is on to talking chocolate with us........always room to grow!

Maybe it was superbowl Sunday

Postby CHELBEL » Fri Feb 06, 2009 1:45 pm

OK, here's what probably happened.

It was superbowl Sunday's pre-game Journey performance. Steve was at a get-together with his buddies. When they heard Arnel singing DSB they all laughed so hard they couldn't help but prompt Steve to sing at which time he did his best immitation of Arnel complete with creepy lucifer eye roll. Beer was spewed from noses ... it was one helluva performance!

I'm all for getting things spiced up...let's keep the rumor mill turning!

It's much more comforting to think about Perry 'possibly' singing again than it is to accept that he will never sing again.
