That's what im saying, there's got to be something to it. And why in the world would they cancel it. For what reason. Just makes no sense at all.

I think they cancelled it because it wasnt going to happen at all in the first place.

Really?? MILLIONS??!! I'm assuming the only residuals he received from Revelation were from the retreads.

I'm betting it's like Jeremey said. The promoter jumped the gun without anything signed. It's still hard to imagine why, if that's the case, SP would bail because of that. Wouldn't it only HELP to promote the show? Now if he never agreed to it at all, the promoter is in some trouble for false advertising.

Anyway, it does feel as though something is/was/will be up. Here's hoping.

There are people who are privy to every penny of every band member's (past and present) bank accounts. I mean, we get this information from those who have it, right?

So did Ross Vallory really say in his website SP had throat work done with the doctor. Is that true?

No, I'm sure he's referring to people buying other Journey albums, as well as all the radio play the older songs have had because of the Journey "Buzz" that surrounded the album, as well as the Cinderella story. I'm not sure if Perry would get any royalties off of the re-records, because Neal and company would own the sound recordings. Not sure?

SP would still get his songwriting royalties from the sale of the rerecords.

Why do these types of threads ALWAYS break down into people feeling like someone owes them an explanation for whatever goes down, or somehow there is some big cover up, or that Andrew needs to get to the bottom of anything? I don't get it.

Is Perry going to play this show?
No.
Ok, Thank you anyway.

Isn't that how normal humans talk? I never understood why adults need explanations of other people's comings and goings. My own kids don't ask as many questions as the people on this board. It's just odd is all I'm saying.

You can't be serious. It's the same fucking people reading along as the thread expands, Nora. A barometer for a man like Steve Perry returning isn't measured by fucking "views" on this, or any, site! Now go change your loon-soaked panties and take a cold shower!

I'm just sick of being let down by this guy. When he made Behind The Music he told us all this bull about much he misses going shit. It just goes "on and on and on and on".

It's annoying, the last song i listened to tonight within my night out in Liverpool was DSB and now I come home to the usual Perryshite.

No, I don't mean from the physical sales of the album....He probably made about $175,000 from the publishing of the rerecords. I don't know what deal they may have struck with regard to the licensing of the music on the DVD, but that's probably where he made his money - Because they needed his PERMISSION to release that DVD and Perry wouldn't have given that up easily unless there was money to be made elsewhere. But I'm guessing that he knew that the rerecords and the Revelation disc in general would support catalog sales of the older Journey material as well as keep interest high in licensing for Journey catalog material such as the Yes Man and Bedtime Story and Monsters Vs Aliens and Glee Club, etc etc....So really, I'm pretty secure in saying that there really could have been millions generated from the release of that record.

Read my mind. For Christ sake, there's what? 50 people in circulation in this thread, tops? Maybe not even? This site is possibly the biggest site who has the most hardcore Journey fans that ever lived. This SHOULD gain attention like this.. it's nothing new.

Neal and Jon made out very well on this deal also. Remember Neal talking about the royalty rate Walmart offered being so good, it was just too great a deal to turn down?
