Boy are you right about that. My step son is in Iraq right now for the 2nd time. This is the last year of his 4 year committment to the Air Force. He was undecided about re-enlisting, but is convinced Obama will be the next CIC, so that was a huge part in his not wanting to re-enlist. He's been in Japan for the most part of the last 3 years, spent six months in Iraq and will be there for at least another six. He is ready to come back to the U.S.A. 8)

Best of luck to him, Barb. And the next time you talk to him, tell him thank you from me.

Great. Those that do well will get less and those that do nothing will get more. We can have men marrying men and women marrying women(something absolutely vile to even think of). Why black people would vote for the continuation of slavery (welfare) is beyond me. :?

RVR's assessment is very accurate. Obama has even aditted as much. His policies are just that...socialist. This isn't something Stu's making up.

Hey Danny... here's a question...

Why is it ok to watch girl-on-girl action, but the thought of them marrying each other and doing it in the privacy of their own home is vile??? :?

BTW, I'm against gay marriage too.

Well, for what it's worth, I'm VERY okay with "girl-on-girl action" and if they want to marry each other...no problems here

I find watching 2 girls go at it absolutely boring as hell. It does nothing for me...and I mean nothing. It's gross and unnatural. A man watching 2 girls go at it is almost the same to me as watching 2 guys. They both condone homosexuality. Most guys are just too fucking dumb to realize it.

Obama exceeds McCain in military donations, probably owing to the fact that McCain has voted against their interests.

Some good community organizing went on over there didn't it?
When I was a garbage man right out of high school that lovely establishment was one of our stops. What a fucking pit. We made our stop there around 10 o'clock because at that time no one was up...no one. The 5 or so percent that worked were at work and everyone else was fast asleep from a long night of either taking drugs or selling them.

No, it's not, Lie Finder. That was a 55-foot curveball that bounced in the dirt.

Every single politician gets donations from less than reputable sources. Was Obama himself examining every single donation? No. So give it a rest.

You've got nothing. Good luck.

Such as his 'cut & run' tactics. Such as his comments about our military killing innocent civilians. Such as him talking about the war as a mistake. I understand that perhaps you agree with him on many of these things, but I don't.

I don't get your second comment. Military donations? What does that mean?

This is one of the things that drives me crazy about politics. It seems that both sides accuse the other of voting for (or not voting for) a bill that would help one cause or another. Usually it's because there are all kinds of extra items in that bill that are unacceptable. For example, in Thursday's debate Biden said that McCain didn't vote to fund the troops. Then it was said that he didn't vote in favor of that bill because it included a timetable for withdrawal, which is what McCain took issue with. The effin politics of it all is what hurts our country. I realize I'm ignorant about much of this stuff, but I hate it just the same. Some things should not have to have conditions. Taking care of our troops is one of them. Taking care of our elderly and our children is another.

A buddy of mine and I hooked up with a couple of girls at a Poison show (yes, I know) in '88. Anyway, it was Russian Roulette - I just went to the Y, but he did the Full Monty...anyway, he wound up with crabs. Dude couldn't stop itching himself, and we all started to use the 3rd floor (as opposed to the 4th) showers. The 4th floor bathroom was all his. I don't think he ever went to a doctor.

Ah, the 80's.

The timing is very interesting.

One month before the election...an interruption to the supply line in the Gulf, OPEC cuts production...and prices go DOWN?

Yes, the gas prices are $3.79 for 87 over by me... so I switched back to the mid-grade at $3.91! :D

I can't do that. I look strongly at character as well. I want to feel like I can trust the person I'm voting for. More often that not, that person has been a republican, but I don't vote for them because they are republicans. I voted for Ross Perot both times he ran  , and I voted for Mark Warner as Virginia's governor.

Even if policies were my only criteria, Obama would not get my vote. His negative talk about the wars would be enough to keep me from it. Personal associations, judgment, character all matter...and should be part of the process of deciding which candidate will be president.
I wouldn't give the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers the time of day, let alone allow him to host a political event for me. I would not sit in a church for 20 years with a racist, America-hating unrepentant preacher. I would at least wonder why a then shady (now felon) Tony Rezko was offering me a house for $300,000 under market. Mr. Angry is no angel either, considering his association with felon Charles Keating (along with four Democratic senators).
