Which begs the question, tangentally...

Night Ranger released 7 Wishes in 1985.

They did a studio album without Jack Blades in 1995.

Their 8th studio album, in 1998, was the 7th with Blades, who was pissed off about the non-Blades release.

So he decided to name the 8th album "7".

Hence, anyone attempting to purchase their back catalogue would think "7" and "7 Wishes" were the same album

Kinda stupid, if you ask me.

He did a lot of great stuff for our state.

Isn't Virginia supposed to be a Southern State? Then why are it and North Carolina still a toss up?

Come on VA, don't get off the Republican bus.

names please?

i've watched two specials on cnn and msnbc on john mccain & neither mentioned any ties to nefarious people.

what really matters? that we have someone in office we can trust.

fox is showing "obama and friends... a history of radicalism". not looking too good.

btw... hillary started it! not mccain.

Lula wrote:what isn't ayers in jail?

like i've already said, i think the mccain ticket is making a mistake with this one. there are those "ties" with questionable characters, racists, crooks, etc in mccain's closet as well. let mccain push this issue while obama talks about what really matters to the american people. it isn't like this ayers stuff is new news, it had been known throughout the primary and nothing came from it.

Parts of VA can culturally be considered Southern. The Appalachian areas, and the part that borders NC west of I-85, just in my own opinion. The state has grown increasingly more lib up towards the DC/Fairfax/Alexandria area, down toward VaBeach/Newport News, and in the college towns (Blacksburg, Charlottesville, and Radford mainly.)

There's also an influx of "foreigners" in the mountain region who help keep libtards like Rick Boucher in office.

Having lived on Chicago's southeast side my entire life I can tell you that Obama is a piece of racist shit. His ties to Wright are the tip of the iceberg. He comes from a militant black panther-like upbringing of hatred toward white America and sympathy with those that they feel we oppress (Radical fundamentalists). He sat by as his church railed against Jews and whites and spewed anti-american jargon for over TWENTY YEARS. Furthermore, he didn't say a fucking word when his church gave Louis Farrakhan an award and called him a man that "truly epitomized greatness." Wright appaluded Farrakhan for "his depth of analysis when it comes to the racial ills of this nation." He praised "his integrity and honesty." He called him "an unforgettable force, a catalyst for change and a religious leader who is sincere about his faith and his purpose."
Hard to believe anyone could vote for a guy that was so endeared by hate speech he decided to have the MC of said hate speech marry him!!! Then he made him his "spititual advisor." Anyone that votes for Obama should be electrocuted.

If Obama had said this, I'd have to agree with you.

I'm not defending it, though. It does bother me.

Like it or not, this war is going to come to an end.
Since an overwhelming amount of the Iraqis want us to leave are they traitorous cowards?
When the Prime Minister of Iraq endorsed Obama's exit plan was he too being a gutless wonder?

No doubt when McCain says its time to leave that will be bold leadership and not a case of cutting lady liberty's legs out from under her, right?

donnaplease wrote:Such as his comments about our military killing innocent civilians.

Those were taken out of context, and he is 100% on the mark.
The civilian death tally in Afghanistan did outnumber insurgents.
This concern was expressed by the Afghan president to George Bush as well.

"We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there."

donnaplease wrote:Such as him talking about the war as a mistake.

It isn't? Do you think Vietnam was righteous and just?

donnaplease wrote:I don't get your second comment. Military donations? What does that mean?

Obama has beaten McCain in campaign donations by servicemen. And Ron Paul, arguably a more anti-war voice then Obama, is right below him.

LOL

I love watchign US news channels (when travelling) and Fox News was part of a cable package down under...but I can't bring myself to watch it...some of the worst journalism I have ever seen or witnessed for bias and factual errors.

Not to mention ignorant "news" readers.

And during an entertainment section one night the dickhead was saying how he was still waiting for Boston to get back together. He must have missed their 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2007 tour dates. What a tool.

No matter what ANYONE says.....troops are between the proverbial rock and a hard place.....They are torn between trying to justify their role in Iraq; meaning that they often wonder what the fuck we are actually doing there, and wanting to get the fuck out of there....and yes, Iraq is Vietnam: The Sequel

Heh heh.

Are you sure that wasn't Randy of the Redwoods? After all, he's still waiting for Hendrix to play.

I have two close friends who've served...one is currently on his second tour. He seems to feel there is a greater purpose now, but he's mostly concerned with getting home and seeing his daughter for the first time.

The other one is angry - he lost a great friend because his unit wasn't properly armored - but he won't tell anyone he doesn't trust.

There's a difference between the way most of these guys actually FEEL and the (sincere) courage they project.

I've heard some horror stories.

Don't forget - there are now over 35,000 injured American soldiers from the war in Iraq alone. Almost a third of these soldiers will never be the same - loss of limbs, permanent disabilities, severe brain damage.

THOSE are the numbers people tend to forget about when they're trying to justify a war that NEVER should have happened in the first place. We should have stayed in Afghanistan and gotten the job done.

Palin is such a catty little bitch...too bad she's also stupid enough to not realize the damage she's causing her campaign...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081005/ap_on_el_pr/palin_recharged;_ylt=Asty8Ek1NTBJsdLfxPGnAcRh24cA

There is NO connection (other than a very casual one) between these two men.

The people of Alaska will fire Palin soon. She will NOT be the VP.

Wow. You're really just looking at what you want to see, aren't you? I have more verbal bombs lobbed my way than I'd care to remember. Simply because I don't fall in lockstep with the majority of people on this thread.

Why don't you go back and re-read some of the statements that have been made about me?

Let alone what people say about Obama. The outright racism is quite unbelievable. And the words used to describe him are FAR worse than "catty bitch".

BTW...I probably would have voted for the pre-2006 McCain had he chosen Whitman. And I supported Hillary, too. So don't try to suggest I'm a sexist. Palin is really not a smart woman at all, and she's got a nasty personality.

He also reminds me of a car salesman or door-to-door salesman. Always makes a convincing argument but if you read the fine print, you realize you're about to get fucked hard.

He speaks so well and he reminds nobody of George Bush, HE MUST BE PRESIDENT!
