Washington is on the wrong track and I’m going to set it right

So, this means McCain believes he is now leading the polls?

What I'm really looking forward to is getting a raise in January and taking home less money! I just hope he doesn't get his cock sucked so we can waste a few billion finding the dress he shot the load on.

I doubt it...I think he still is in campaign mode and is not going to tell his supporters he is going to lose.

I am a McCain supporter, but I am realist as well.

There is NO connection (other than a very casual one) between these two men.

The people of Alaska will fire Palin soon. She will NOT be the VP.

Let them/her keep it up. the door to the keating 5 is swinging wide open and Mccain is much more connected to that scandal than Obama is to ayers. It also shines a light on the economy, which is the focus of tomorrow's debate. You go Sarah!!

Lula, Barry probably won't go there. His surrogates might. McCain AND John Glen were basically cleared by none other than Bob Bennett (Clintons Lawyer) and as of today John Glenn is on the stump with Barack.

It looks like the mudslinging is in full gear now for both sides

Sure sure... I guess we don't really have political opinion programs here in Oz. Ones that cover goverment and current affairs and do political interviews yes, but always unbiased.

maybe so but she has more experience than obama. obama's been campaigning longer than he's been in office. what has he done actually... what is his track record?

all talk... no action.

not buying it.

Jana wrote:Chris Matthews is liberal. And he just has such a Hillary Clinton bias. I've never been more disgusted by the idiotic, demeaning sexist comments on Hillary Clinton and then his lovefest for Obama. When all that shit went on, that's when I really came to admire her. A few of the Democratic-leaning hosts (I don't call them newsmen) were so out to get Hillary and were salivating over Obama, and that woman just took hit after hit. And she could sit down and talk policy, issues, you name it. You didn't have to agree with her, but you had to admire her intellect. Keith Olbermann, ugh.

On the conservative side, Rush Limbaugh is an idiot. Sean Hannity, forget it. Bill O'Reilly, if he wasn't just an arrogant bastard who enjoys shouting over Democratic guests, he might even get more interviews, because he actually could call them out on what he doesn't agree with but allow some sort of discourse. But he's not capable. I still watch his show, though, and he can actually be fair at times.

But to blame media for Sarah Palin is silly. I would respect just one Republican on this board if they would admit she's unqualified as VP, especially as a potential President, and that it worries them, and wishes McCain had chosen someone else. Any takers? I thought not.

My two cents for the night.

Actually, I majored in Creative Writing as well as Music Theory. So no, I don't "cut and paste" all the time. Every comment except the last one I posted last night is original. Who would want to claim ownership of my rambling, irrelevant barrages of bellicosity anyway?

None of my former professors, for one...all of whom complained that I tended to wander off topic with alarming frequency. That's why I never endeavored to pursue a career in my third major (yes, I was on the 5 1/2 year plan) in Journalism...

If "Executive Experience" were the mandated pre-requisite for all potential Presidents, then half our greatest commander-in-chiefs never would have won an election.

Senator McCain has the same amount of "EE" as Obama and Biden.

None.

Just because Palin was a mediocre Governor (and by all accounts, terrible Mayor - she ran a town of 7,600 people $22 million in debt!) does NOT make her "more qualified" or mean she has "more experience".

Enough already.

Mediocre? 70 something postive approval rating means nothing to you? How convenient. I'd take her over this joke Jennifer Granholm that's run this state into the ground.

I'm talking about her RECORD. Plenty of politicians have been both effective and incompetent.

She's attacking character now because that's all they have left. Who cares if it's all bullshit? It's already been proven that the middle class will get more money back in tax savings under Obama's plan.

Her tactics aren't working because people aren't buying it anymore. Contemporary Republicans do nothing but a mess of the economy. Get a real fiscal conservative back in office, and then we'll talk.

I can understand that people don't like her. But calling her mediocre, or incompetent, or worse is unbelievable to me. I mean, with an approval rating that high by her own people, how can anyone question her ability to govern? Like her or hate her, it seems like she has done some good things for her state.
