Cyndy's & Lora's thoughts on the HH interview

Voted Worlds #1 Most Loonatic Fanbase

For Christ Sake, must every positive SP thread degenerate into the abyss! This is GOOD news. SP has put some songs on record. Lora/Cyndy have given us hope, something both loons and goons have been clamoring for and speculating over for YEARS. The people who are voicing displeasure with Lora/Cyndy over being “teased” and “ulterior motives” need to get a life. We certainly would like to hear something, but nobody is putting their lives on hold. If this condemnation causes a backlash and Lora/Cyndy suddenly stop talking about Steve, I’m putting a curse on all you bitter and negative kooks.

Phew, got that off my system  .

GREAT thread: there's hope, deceit, despair, thrill & suspicion... plenty of comedy & drama - deserves an award.

I was at that show and a high (literally) percentage of the crowd were Grateful Dead fans. I doubt many of them even knew the words to "Lights." Steve was trying so hard to get the crowd into it, but they were all too stoned to notice or care. Everyone was camped out on the lawn with their blankets and the Deadheads were there days before the concert started. We got there early that day but were all the way back to the mixing board. After Journey's set, it took us almost an hour to walk from where we were standing to the back of the crowd, stepping over coolers, blankets, bodies, etc. I actually had fleas on me by the time I got to the car. It was an amazing day and tribute to Bill Graham, but definitely not the usual Journey concert crowd.

Deadheads... well, that certainly explains it! I was rather mystified by their apparent apathy. One thing is for certain, though -- there ain't no fleas on Steve!

one of my favorite moments at the bill graham tribute was when they released thousands of flowers from a plane flying over the crowd. they launched them pretty high up, so we couldn't see what was coming at us for a few minutes. one person (who seemed to have the munchies) exclaimed, "they're cookies!" it was so beautiful when the flowers came raining down all around us.

They seem to criminally underrated in their own city, which, granted is arguably (with Chicago and LA) the best rock and roll city in the world. But come on, Journey's so much better than the grateful dead it's a joke.

cookies in the sky, with diamonds

I once worked with a dead head fan for two weeks, then he picked up and headed to the next town to follow the dead. Think the guy had been stoned since he was 10. Boss wondered where the guy went as he just picked up and left in the middle of the day, told us all were he was going. Guess when he was hired he forgot to mention he was only looking for reefer money and two weeks employment. 8) Only in California.................

I will always be a Steve Perry fan, I was never a Journey fan. Any negative comments about Steve only make me even more of a Perry fan when I consider the source l- isn't it a "coincidence" that a new HH negative Perry interview comes out RIGHT after millions and millions and millions of people just voted Steve Perry as the 2nd best male rock singer of all time - and the new band is trying to get off the ground. Sorry, the negative didn't work - us Perry fans will be "Strung Out" and faithful forever!

I'd like to see proof of the millions and millions of people.

I can name 10 better ROCK singers than SP.

Woah, Start a new thread if you're going to sail that ship....and be prepared to go down in flames with it. There are not many people out there that would agree with you....

...and there isn't a single name you can list that even belongs in the same zip code as Perry, as far as talent.

I feel that Steve Perry is not a strong ROCK singer. Power Ballads? Mid Tempo? He's #1.

OK if we follow your thinking....
In my opinion, Plant is a screamer, therefore not a rock singer either.
And Daltrey is a shouter, therefore not a rock singer either.

Elvis Presley is rock on your list but SP is not?????

Of course it's an unpolular opinion here in this den of perry worship but I've agreed with Amaron on the issue forever and and a day.

Your opinion is a terribly bad one.

There are 2 singers on that list that come remotely close, these being Mercury and Delp.

Plant is good, but nowhere near.
Daltry? Don't make me laff.
Tyler just screams his way through everything.
Geddy Lee, absolutely no chance.
DLR, Great frontman and that is it.
Gilmour has one level, the same as Floyd do. Boring.
Johnson, well you really must be stone freakin deaf.
Presley is not even rock. WTF.

THIS is a singer.....This is the ultimate singer.....Who else can do this? Answer...No One. This is as Smooth As Charlize Theron's asshole.

Thanks to Lora and Cyndy for telling the truth and letting us know that our Stevie is doing well. We would like to hear those demos he has, we'd buy anything Perry, coughing and sneezing....we just love the guy. Personally, I never was a Journey fan, I've been a Perry fan since Infinity and nothing anybody says about Steve changes my opinion about him one bit - I still love the guy and am so thankful to him for what he put up with to give us the wonderful songs with that voice that we still love today. I have no respect for the Journey band members or anybody affiliated with them. They gave Steve the shaft, but he came out the winner because they can't replace him....he just goes on with his very successful life and lets them struggle around trying to replace him. I wish him only the best because he has given me so much through the music I still watch and listen to today. He will always be the best male rock singer of all time! sportygirl869

Perry has made it very clear he wants to remain in private lfe. When questioned about returning, he either skirts the question or responds with a coy "I think about touring alot", or "I miss singing", etc. Knowing exactly how psycho his fan base is, this is just enough to get them hoping for another 20 fucking years. The fucking guy is going to be dead, burried and digested worm food and there will be loons holding seances looking to get this guy back on stage.
