The last I recall, as posted by JSS himself, Jeff was never asked or told to leave, or told anything by the band at all before it happened. Either I missed something, which I know is highly possible, or this is more of Neal's increasingly amusing perception of the world around him.

I just wish everything about Sotogate could be aired completely out by both sides without being vauge so all of us MR folk could stop speculating once and for all.

Again, true.

I give up. *smacks head into wall*
I'll be off in a corner listening to Evolution and pretending that I don't know anything at all about the band drama.
And later I'll be watching Augeri sing and the whole thing will inevitably enter my mind and piss me off again.

By the way, as to Neal's comment about SA's vocal issues being incurable...
I'll be sure to let you all know how much truth there is to that when I return home.

Well if Neal's talking, then so can JSS. There can't be a one way gag on this thing. Can we have Testify-part deux, Andrew? On second thought, never mind, you would need to be a doctor to handle all the loons that would be spewing up everywhere. :D

Aired or not, each side is going to give a different story and call the other a liar... In the end, we'd have gotten nowhere. How about each band/musician look towards the future  I personally would rather not know

Because we're obsessed fans that have spent more than enough money and time on this band, than should be considered normal by all counts, and would want closure on this in the same way that we'd want closure on a fight or disagreement or break-up between our own friends and family?

Because you are a paying customer. If it's none of your business, then it's also none of your business when a professional football player holds out for money, signs a large contract, etc. The band made Mr Soto the "Official" lead singer and asked you as fans to accept that. Then they pulled the plug quickly afterwards. Journey may not give the answers and that is their right, but the fans have every right to want to know the reasons.

If there were no gag order, I would love nothing more, especially recently, to open up. I have no resentment or bitterness anymore but if anyone's gonna sugar coat things to make them appear picture perfect, I don't want to be the one shown in the wrong light. I pride myself in being the best person I can to everyone around me, always, even when the grey clouds are cast. But that's a good one, this new 'revelation' about me, great read!

You da man JSS, can't wait until the new album drops. You should swing by Columbus or Cincinnati sometime for a show, bud.

And stevew2, what does taking a good dump have to do with anything?

I love Journey but that's not fair, Neal shouldn't be allowed to say something like that in the public forum without a fair chance of rebuttal, or is he really that dense? If Herbie thinks of Neal as his son, then HH needs to go in for some parental counciling because as a dad he freakin failed.

You're right, it's not fair. You know what I just love? All the bitching, esp. by HH and the band, about SP taking control of Behind the Music and not allowing things to be said... but they don't seem to mind doing it. They're doing all the same horrible shit that Perry was alleged to be doing - shutting people up and manipulating the facts to their favor.

Agreed. You can't have it both ways. NS continually uses the 'well he got paid like a motherfucker' shit as an excuse for bad behavior on the band's part. It gets old.

If there is a gag order in place, didn't Neal just violate it? Gag orders aren't normally on just one camp.

I have no problem defending Neal on here when people dote on his failed marriages and personality shortcoming, but whenever he opens his mouth in response to a question, the dude creates a f'kin train wreck every single time.

No wonder Perry wants nothing to do with "Journey Mach II"

Neal...also, if you read this. PLEASE, do something about your current guitar tone.

Too PROCESSED!!!! Go back to the "beginning" and plug a darn LP DIRECTLY into a Bassman or a good Marshall and turn it up!

You sound your best doing this.

Now...go work on your personality will ya?

I agree about the processing, although I do think he sounds a lot better live. A Bassman, given Journey's output the last 20 years? I don't know about that. Journey needs a little more gain than that I think now. A nice Marshall or even a good vintage voiced Boogie would do him well though.

Neal is his own worst enemy
He's lipshitting
borders on
slander, libel & defamation of character

The more Neal opens his mouth
the more hot air he swallows

Neal must be stewing in his own juices.
Great guitarist
but comes up a little short as a human being

Jeff,
You stand tall & proud
We believe in you.

As for the joker
I bet he won't have the last laugh.
