The liberal playbook is cut from the exact same kind of cloth. Neither party is clean and sober. They both drink from the same bottle WAY too much.

Now it will be eight years of Democratic rule, and I hate to tell you but Liberal revenge may be uncomfortable...

The leftists in Congress have already been following the Republican example from the previous few years, i.e., not getting anything substantive accomplished, spending way too much money, and watching their approval rating plummet to new lows.

Just heard she got boo'd at a sports arena today. Deserves it. Slimebucket, classless. and out of her league. So glad so few people can't see through the lowlife tactics of the Republican ticket.

And Palin can return to her backwoods hole-in-the-wall where killing is sport.

Thank goodness just a few more weeks and she'll be GONE!!

You're calling her classless and then you say things like the above? Unbelievable.

Yeah, I thought "classless" was exceedingly mild.
Guess you'd rather comment on me than on the election???

Ummm...You called her a "horror", "wolf in she's clothing" and where she's from is apparently a "backwoods hole-in-the-wall.

And????? What did I say that wasn't true???

I mean, all of Alaska has 1/3 the population of the San Fernando Valley (suburb of Los Angeles) where I live. I mean, honest to God, that's a hole-in-the-wall. (No offense to Alaskans, but it is rather sparse..... )

A horror and wolf in sheep's clothing were not true and calling where she's from a backwoods hole-in-the-wall just makes you sound like an condescending elitist.

Oh, and if you think conservatives are mean just look at TNC's comment to me in my sig. Now that's REAL hate and meanness on display from a liberal.

The big thing right now that's hurting McCain's run for the presidency is that Palin keeps popping up in porn clips. (God bless her!)
She really needs to take this election more seriously.

Too bad it's ripped out of context. Beck and O'Reilly have taught you well, I see. At the very least you could include an ellipsis.

Very funny, but seriously.....

Fox News just reported that Sarah wears "Naughty Monkey" superhigh shoes...

OOOOhhh what a VIXEN.

It's ALMOST porn...... :D

Could you imagine if the Republicans won? Hannity and Limbaugh would have pin-ups of Sarah on their refrigerators, and rub themselves on them every morning, salivating.....

(OK, THAT was classless!! :))

There's nothing out of context about it. Deal with it. You're the epitome of the elitist, condescending, holier-than-thou liberal. I know most true libs aren't really like that but you fit the mold extremely well.

By not including an ellipsis you make it look like it was a random attack.
The full sentence is (and I quote): "If you don't think Beck and Limbaugh would be whitewashing Nixon's crimes under the guise of "media liberal media witchhunt" you're dumber than Palin's backwoods retard baby."

Again, i stand by my comments 100%

There's no excuse for calling a poor child, a victim, a "retard". It's vile.

Just as vile as the outright fallacious lies being perpetuated against Obama...

You know, Dave (may I call you Dave?), you sound like a nice fellow. And you have a lovely face! Nothing a little medical intervention wouldn't correct..... (jest, kidding, just kidding, you don't have to tell me who that really is..... )

I will return to my kind liberal nature and just ask your indulgence, on behalf of the Left, while we gloat a bit. We have been truly battered and abused for much too long, and without justification. That is not to say we haven't made mistakes, and been weak and pulled boners at times. People are people. To err is human.....and to be magnanimous, not a part of the Conservative nature.
I cannot tell you how ugly the self-righteousness of the Right has been, and how divisive. It may take a little while for progressives to do what it is in our philosophy to do, which is to forgive and include all....

I hope you respond with the magnanimity with which this post is intended......After all, we both like Journey, huh?

Doesn't anyone remember this...

Hunting is a sport, folks. I don't like it, have never done it, and don't want to. Deer, bear, and turkey hunting is very popular in this hole-in-the-wall that I live in, and it's a very 'american' thing to do. I don't eat deer meat, and I think it's gross. But... I also wrecked last fall when a deer ran out in front of me. Deer cause some serious accidents where I live. If they are allowed to over-populate, it increases the risk of injury to drivers.

I didn't read the article about the wolves, I got enough out of just reading you guys argue about it. You see, the difference here is the TONE of the arguments that are made between the two sides. I have said more than once that I cannot support BO because I am afraid of his JUDGEMENT. No one here has called him a terrorist, and I don't think anyone said he was a muslim or a baby-killer. However, those of you that dislike Sarah Palin are making horrible personal comments about her, that are some of the worst things I've seen here since I've been a member.

You know I love ya, but would you like me to cut and paste the 20-plus posts where people HAVE used those terms when describing him?

She KNOWS he's not a terrorist, that he has NO CONNECTIONS with terrorists, yet SHE is the one going around REPEATEDLY making claims to the contrary...now THAT is horrible and vile. No wonder so many people here can't stand her.

My son just told me that someone in Missouri has put up a billboard that looks like this:

Image

He also told me that at one of Palin's rallies, "A man brought a stuffed monkey doll wearing an Obama sticker to a Palin campaign event in Johnstown, Pa. Realizing he was caught on camera, he passed it off to a child he didn't know."

This is the kind of hate mongering that is going on with the Republicans and it is indefensible.

No darlin'. I don't think you can do it. But 115 pages is a lot to dig through, and if you could find it, chances are you'd probably read it one way and I'd read it another. BO does have connections to a terrorist, Daniel. Bill Ayers is a domestic terrorist. He wasn't convicted because the government effed up their case. It doesn't mean it never happened. No one will convince me that BO 'didn't know' who he was and what he has done.

I just wish we could debate all this stuff without the vitriol that I've seen the past few days. Unfortunately, I guess it's the nature of American politics. So I'm just gonna shut up and read.

Did ya happen to listen to Father Pflager??? How about Reverend Wright??? These people are supposed to men of religion who are examples to everyday people, not some random guy in the audience.

Obviously the hate-mongering goes both ways. Maybe both sides should just STFU.

Sorry, but I disagree.
Sarah is playing with the big boys for the highest seat in the land at a time of extreme crisis and SHE AIN'T QUALIFIED no matter how much you pretend she is.

That she is getting attacked has two motivations.

Attacking Palin because she is unqualified is a fair comment. Ridiculing her winking and smirking is a fair opinion of what she herself is playing up.

Second, she is playing her assigned role for a VP candidate, which during the campaign is ATTACK DOG. What is particularly horrific is that the Republican campaign consciously and openly acknowledged that they would try to SMEAR Obama as their last hope. The way it is coming off is that Palin is speaking on the level of some hallfassed blogger rather than a leader who should not speak unless they have verified and important material to speak of. So is it any surprise she is being treated like some jerk who is posting foolishness on some message board?

It is unique to have the actual VP candidate be the source of lies and innuendos which the campaign KNOWINGLY distorts in order to create a false, besmirched impression of a man's character. That is below the belt!! Even McCain was forced to rein in the ignorance being spread.
Even he was horrified by the EFFECT on their supporters. REpulsive and scary beliefs are being spread by the Republican standardbearers. Unheard of.

Oh gosh, Hannity's on stating Obama "radical views" as if it were an accepted fact. What a jerk. He creates an inuendo through some tenuous pseudo-fact, then begins to reinforce it as if it were the TRUTH from on high! Even a man as dense and blockheaded as Hannity knows better. But he is the biggest singleminded scapegoater .....I mean, he will find a liberal connection where none exists and harp on it for months. He's a sicko all right. I need to get up and turn the channel.... That the Repubs have their VP candidate acting like she is a poster on some blog slinging inuendo and crap is way beneath a Presidential candidate.

Yeah, Kerry looks a dork. He should never have tried to play Conservative big-game hunter. He lost. Insincerity doesn't work well.

Bill Ayers was just one of many doing that sort of shit back in those days. I agree he should have been locked up. He must have had nudie pictures of Lady Bird or something. But that was 40 years ago. Once a person has been named citizen of the year, I can pretty much assume that people have forgotten his past. It's just the people trying to keep Obama out of office that are making a shit about it. Nobody would have said a word about Bill Ayers, otherwise. The Republicans act like they're huddled in a building somewhere plotting terror and mayhem.

I missed the original post so this may be off-base, but anyway....

Language matters, and everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. Whether or not "retard"
is an description to you, it is an insult to others. Me, for one. It's unnecessary. And ugly.
I have nothing against critiques about what people do, but not what they are born as or with....

You are really reaching with that picture of Kerry dove hunting, DP. Your tone doesn't sound very good either. I wholeheartedly agree with TNC: "the black man's burden, or how it is expressed, is not for you or me to snipe at."

The "god damn" comment was taken out of context of one of his sermons. I am not saying I agree or am fond of Rev. Wright. I have vaguely heard of Father Pflager(sp) so I don't have any opinion (yet) on that.

TNC is a good guy; he has been attacked in this thread over and over again and perhaps could have used a different kind of analogy. I believe him when he says it was aimed at Dave and not the kid. Another example of taking something out of context because the first time I saw that I was outraged but went and read a few of those pages and realized what he was trying to convey.

Walter Annenberg's wife has the same connection to David Ayers: they both serve on the Walter Annenberg charitable foundation. Walter Annenberg was a Republican and great supporter of Ronald Reagan. I would guess his wife is a Republican, also.

Yes, yes yes
I've been waiting for someone to say what you just said.

Isn't it a shame that the conversation has been hijacked so easily and effectively by the mudslinging tactic? Putting Obama on the defensive rather than focusing on what the Partys'
plans to fix this mess our country is in? I've done it too.... Gotten into it. Geez, like a puppet on a string.

I said earlier, had the dumb bitch came out in Philly gear, the boos would be half this...Hell, now that I think about it, surprised she didn't don USA gear chanting 'USA, USA'...that makes me sick and at the same time, I laugh at how fucking retarded she and Walnuts really are. Those two are Rudderless Holes.

Wrong kiddo.

The Democrats aren't doing this. Asshole extremists and 527's are. BIG difference between Obama and Biden putting that shit out, and Madonna and her clan.....whereas Walnuts and Caribou Barbie are directly behind their attack ads.

HUGE dichotomy in play. One side has class, and a huge lead, the other side is classless and in the hole.

TNC;

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea it happened. That was truly POWERFUL. Everyone should hear it.

And that was at a HOCKEY game!

I am PROUD of my fellow Americans! REally really proud. Not against Palin, but what she's been saying and doing is NOT working and immoral, and the fans there let her know it.
Oh WOW.

Maybe the country is finally getting back on track. It's been SO LOMG. I want to cry!!
