Hunting is a sport, folks. I don't like it, have never done it, and don't want to. Deer, bear, and turkey hunting is very popular in this
hole-in-the-wall that I live in, and it's a very 'american' thing to do. I don't eat deer meat, and I think it's gross. But... I also wrecked last fall when a deer ran out in front of me. Deer cause some serious accidents where I live. If they are allowed to over-populate, it increases the risk of injury to drivers.
I didn't read the article about the wolves, I got enough out of just reading you guys argue about it. You see, the difference here is the TONE of the arguments that are made between the two sides. I have said more than once that I cannot support BO because I am afraid of his JUDGEMENT. No one here has called him a terrorist, and I don't
think anyone said he was a muslim or a baby-killer. However, those of you that dislike Sarah Palin are making horrible personal comments about her, that are some of the worst things I've seen here since I've been a member.
Sorry, but I disagree.
Sarah is playing with the big boys for the highest seat in the land at a time of extreme crisis and SHE AIN'T QUALIFIED no matter how much you pretend she is.
That she is getting attacked has two motivations.
Attacking Palin because she is unqualified is a fair comment. Ridiculing her winking and smirking is a fair opinion of what she herself is playing up.
Second, she is playing her assigned role for a VP candidate, which during the campaign is ATTACK DOG. What is particularly horrific is that the Republican campaign consciously and openly acknowledged that they would try to SMEAR Obama as their last hope. The way it is coming off is that Palin is speaking on the level of some hallfassed blogger rather than a leader who should not speak unless they have verified and important material to speak of. So is it any surprise she is being treated like some jerk who is posting foolishness on some message board?
It is unique to have the actual VP candidate be the source of lies and innuendos which the campaign KNOWINGLY distorts in order to create a false, besmirched impression of a man's character. That is below the belt!! Even McCain was forced to rein in the ignorance being spread.
Even he was horrified by the EFFECT on their supporters. REpulsive and scary beliefs are being spread by the Republican standardbearers. Unheard of.
Oh gosh, Hannity's on stating Obama "radical views" as if it were an accepted fact. What a jerk. He creates an inuendo through some tenuous pseudo-fact, then begins to reinforce it as if it were the TRUTH from on high! Even a man as dense and blockheaded as Hannity knows better. But he is the biggest singleminded scapegoater .....I mean, he will find a liberal connection where none exists and harp on it for months. He's a sicko all right. I need to get up and turn the channel.... That the Repubs have their VP candidate acting like she is a poster on some blog slinging inuendo and crap is way beneath a Presidential candidate.
Yeah, Kerry looks a dork. He should never have tried to play Conservative big-game hunter. He lost. Insincerity doesn't work well.
