As I pointed out previously, the some of the libs in this thread have been far more mean-spirited than I've been.

Me too.

Thanks girls. Appointment is 7am this morning. I've been trying to prepare myself for the worst case scenario since we first got the ankle issue diagnosis during his 6 month ultrasound. Been almost 2 years and I don't think I'm there yet. The doc says they can save his foot. They'd just have to fuse his foot to his tibia. But that would leave him w/ zero movement of his ankle. Could cause future knee and hip problems, and would require multiple lengthening surgeries on his tibia regardless.

rwf... scott,
here you are dealing with a child that is needing medical attention and you still poke your big stick. the death of my son Trevor is not there for you to exploit whenever you need a come back in defense of the palin baby or any other child. you continue to jab and quite frankly i don't see the connection. how can you be so cold while you are facing the unknown with your own child? maybe your fear is causing you to lash out, i don't know, but i do know that it did not take you long to reference my own pain and in my eyes you are mean and insensitive. now if i choose to post here- stay the fuck away from me!

The coffin remark. It was a very personal and insensitive remark to make.

Well, I saw it at the time, and pm'd Lula and told her how sorry I was b/c I was bothered by the callousness towards a fellow poster (friend of the board) by a fellow poster. I don't post on this particular thread anymore, but I wanted to come on on this one subject only, b/c it was such a personal hurtful remark.

I think he edited it out...I didn't see it, so don't know what was said.

Perhaps he did so I'll reserve judgment. What I did see was RWF's reference to what Reardon said. But I don't think that's what Lula was referring to.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will speak on Friday at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, campaign officials announced Monday night.

Doors will open at 3 p.m., with the Alaskan governor expected to speak at 4:30 p.m. at the 24,000-seat venue, said Marc Lotter, spokesman for Republican presidential nominee John McCain's Indiana campaign.

If Barack Obama would apply for a job with the FBI or with the Secret Service, he would be disqualified because of his past association with William Ayers, a known terrorist. If he is elected President, he would not qualify to be his own body guard!

Good. Hopefully, he doesn't get any. He shouldn't be afforded the protection his associates have sought to destroy. I can't believe that people would vote for a guy (Obama) that knowingly stepped foot in the house of a guy that tried to blow up The Pentagon!!! In February, Obama strategist David Axelrod told the Politico Web site that Obama and Ayers are "certainly friendly." Nice candidate.

While I agree that people should find their own words for the most part.

The sentiment, and truth of the statement, cannot be denied; He would not be able to be hired by the FBI or the US Secret Service.

Wow...now you are using age discrimination. Being too old to get the physically demanding job of a Secret Service or FBI agent(and having serious problems moving because of what was done to him as a POW) is vastly different than not being able to get the job because of a failed backround check.

Even if McCain had no "serious problems", he would still be too old to join either government organization you cited! If you want to call it age discrimination, so be it. I have no problem discriminating against a guy who I believe is too old to be president. Having said that, the argument for McCain being president would be one Ronald Reagan, who was only two years younger than McCain when he took office. I think it's a non-issue, because at this point, I have a better shot being elected than McCain does!

John, with all due respect the issue here is not whether one has the physical ability...but whether or not someone's past actions prevent him or her from passing the requisite background checks required for such a position. That speaks to issues like integrity...

True...but discrimination of ANY type is not cool. You know it too. It would be no differnt than saying Obama shouldn't be President because he is black. It is an inane comment to say that age, gender, race, or sexual preference should matter in qualification for a job, any job, even President.

Associations with a terrorist however, I think they do matter, so does the government.

You are right about you having a better shot than McCain though.

Heh, Frank...John doesn't care about integrity...he looks at McCain and sees Bush...and that is enough...Kermit the Frog could be running and it would be enough. Nothing else matters to the left (and a considerable portion of the rest of the country judging by the polls).

But hey it's ok, life goes on.

No not at all...Senator Obama while he can see classified documents, could not pass the required backround check to become a Secret Service or FBI agent because of his association with Bill Ayers.

FOR FUCK'S SAKE!

Half the Republicans and Democrats in the House and Congress have had the same damned degree of association with Ayers...he's not exactly only known in Chicago.

They worked on the same board together. Any other relationship outside a casual one is, simply, false.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Obama knowingly and willingly stepped foot in his house. Ayers' wife was jailed for refusing to cooperate in the double murder of police officers and Ayers was part of a group that bombed the Pentagon. Anyone that votes for Obama is condoning this behavior.

Sorry Stu...You couldn't be more wrong about this. I actually don't feel the same way about Mcain as I feel about W. and never have. I would never insult McCain by comparing him to the brainless one. I think W. is the biggest jackass the office of president has ever seen. I believe McCain is an honorable guy, and very qualified to be president. I believe that McCain is FAR more qualified to be president than Obama is or W. was! My issue with McCain is the imbecile woman he chose to be his running mate. If McCain announced tomorow that Palin was off the ticket (which I know isn't happening), I would gladly vote for the guy in 3 weeks! While I can't stand the political grandstanding that McCain has done throughout the general election, I still like the guy and believe him to be a competent and qualified politician. Truth be told, I feel like there are FAR more unknowns with Obama than with McCain, which is why I am still furious that McCain picked a fucking muppet as his running mate!
