NP: Feeling That Way / Anytime
Journey
Infinity (1978)

The link for "Feeling That Way" is for the video that's on the "Greatest Hits DVD". Unfortunately, the video for "Anytime" is the version with Robert Fleischman on vocals. It's an okay version but not comparable to the version with Perry that ended up on the album. Anyway, it's a good view for those that haven't seen the footage of Fleischman with Journey.

I love how the acoustic intro builds until the electric guitars kick in and crush your skull. What a great tune. This album is one of the top 10 metal albums of all time, in my opinion.

This is the guy who was the main creative force behind prog rock band Spock's Beard. He became a Christian a few years back and has done a few solo albums now. Good stuff. This one isn't necessarily representative of most of his work, though. This is a good, gentle acoustic number.

Great instrumental...Shows the more melodic side of Vai's playing rather than the over-the-top quirkiness he is known for.

Cool...I went to the show where Kansas recorded their DVD (Device Voice Drum) live show and they played a bitchin' version of "The Preacher". That song rocks anyway and Robbie's violin added a lot to the sound as well.

It very easily could've fit in on the "Hysteria" album. It's got a similar feel to "Women".

If memory serves...it WAS a Hysteria outtake. I haven't read the liner notes in a while. But I DO know that "I Wanna Be Your Hero" was originally Love Bites.
