From what I've heard, I'd say no, but lies are bound to happen in any live medium.

If she lies and what she lies about is solely up to the listener to decide. Same goes for Limbaugh. Given that, we'll never agree. You still cling to the false hope America's salvation is with the Democrats whereas I realized years ago neither party have the best interests of the American people. It's all about power, corruption and staying in office. Feel free to keep on believing your talking heads are "less corrupted" and "Less dishonest". You'll wake up one day. Nah fuck it, you probably won't.

The_Noble_Cause wrote:So what does Olbermann have to do with anything?

I used Olbermann to point out the talking heads on the left are just as dishonest as the right. Somewhat out of context though as we were discussing radio, hence the reason I subsequently used Randi Rhodes for contextual purposes.

The_Noble_Cause wrote:There is less "free speech" as a result of the Doctrine being overturned, not more.
Like the FCC's current efforts to allow newspapers and broadcasters to merge, the decision was all about profit$.

We'll never agree on this point.

The_Noble_Cause wrote: Some of these are out of context, some aren't.
I'm not gonna go through it again, I just think we should interview his students before casting judgement.

Any attempted defense of Ayres is in-defensible. Although I'm not of the school (Ayres = Terrorist ; Ayres knows Obama; Obama = Terrorist), Ayres back pedaled and "rephrased" his comments after the NY Times article was published and with good reason; it was published on morning of 9/11/2001. If he had a fuckin spine, he would have stood by his comments. I'm fairly certain he was feeling a bit uncomfortable considering he was, in effect, bragging about being a terrorist on the day of worst attack on American soil.

One last thing. Ayres has never, ever come out and said "I'm sorry", "I was wrong", "I made a mistake", etc, etc. That simple fact, without considering ANYTHING else, proves he hasn't changed at all. He's still the communist loving Marxist he was 40 years ago and would happily applaud the destruction of the Republic.

The 911 operator was Bill Ayers brother. Which now links Ayers to McCain. A complete and thorough anal exam of McCain and his brother is already underway by the media. Look for front page above the fold stories on this through election day.

The Doctrine gives parties a right to respond. When and by whom, remains to be decided.
It's not the movie "Airheads" where the rabble hijacks a radio station.

Skylorde wrote:You still cling to the false hope America's salvation is with the Democrats whereas I realized years ago neither party have the best interests of the American people. It's all about power, corruption and staying in office.

We live in a country that has a two party system. If you don't favor the one, you favor the other, if only by default.
Nowhere have I said the Democrats are the answer, but until election reform, third parties are a waste of time.

Skylorde wrote:Feel free to keep on believing your talking heads are "less corrupted" and "Less dishonest".

And aside from Olbermann, who might they be again?

Skylorde wrote:Any attempted defense of Ayres is in-defensible. I know nothing about him rephrasing his statements.
He did say he was taken out of context, but whether that's true or false doesn't matter.
Any one-dimensional monstrification of a private citizen should be cautioned against - especially when the crimes at issue happened four decades ago.

Skylorde wrote:One last thing. Maybe, maybe not.
This public demand for an apology didn't exist until he became an unwitting centerpiece in a political campaign.
The man is an educator, is extensively published, and has been recognized by his community for his accomplishments.
This is not to grant him absolution, but to keep saying Barack HUSSEIN Obama "palls around with a terrorist" distorts reality, and is extremely dangerous.
If the continual Boo Radley demonization of Ayers doesn't end in spilt blood, I will be greatly surprised.

'Cuz it's a Presidential candidate's brother.
First McCain's bro comicly blasted parts of Va as "communist country" and now he calls 9-1-1 to bitch about a traffic jam and then proceeds to tell the operator "fuck you."
But hey, at least he didn't call her a See you Next Tuesday.

So charity panel members and pastors are fair game, but not immediate blood relatives?
