This article almost suggests that the McCain camp may try to develop a case to jetison her. I wonder if that's the motive behind this, as I can't think of another reason how the McCain people talking makes any tactical sense at all... :?

look at obama's record... he like to spend. go look it up.

look at how much money he is spending on his own campaign... spend... spend... spend...

Hate to chime in on this because it is really a dead issue (I mean, the Democrats will win) so it is pathetic to beat a dead horse BUT it is not a crime to tax people. It is the mishandling of the budget by the Republicans who tried to spend and spend and not raise revenue that caused the deficit hell we are all in and will be for decades.
It is a matter of what tax money is spent on. Wise expenditures pay off as investment in the good of the country and will generate revenue in the future.

We need to invest in our crumbling bridges and roads, take care of the elderly, help our kids get an education that makes them competitive in a global economy, and create a new industry in green technology.

What we don't need is money squandered in bullshit wars and given back to the superwealthy. that is the Republican mentality. Nearly destroyed this country. In the guise of investing in the business sector Republican policies allowed our country to deteriorate, the middle class to diminish and the rich to live like robber barons.

Time for a change. Obama is only righting the wrongs of the last decade and putting balance back in our society.

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. Is there anyway possible they could dump her before the election? From her quote about "laying there", she seems to know that something is up.

It's too bad some Obama supporters label people as RACIST because they don't support him. That cards become too easy to play but for many on the left, its become one of the main weapons in their arsenal.

Look at the bright side. Obama will likely win and if things play out the way I suspect, we'll all have a front row seat to the biggest political train wreck in history. On the unlikely side of things, perhaps the Democrats will actually do the right thing and govern for the good of the country too.

On the slim chance McCain pulls this election out of his ass, we'll have that same front row seat to the biggest collective psychological meltdown in history. It was widely reported many Kerry supporters sought counseling after his loss in 04. Imagine what it'll be like with an unlikely McCain win? Although I do want Obama to win (for Conservative strategy reasons), I wont pass up on the hilarity a McCain win will bring.

This thread is pretty interesting actually when the points of both parties are being made. However the points get lost when they are in the midst of the nastiness.

Oh well. Carry on.

Are you kidding?
What is really odd is how many McCain conservatives are on here on this Message Board when there are fewer and fewer out there in the real world! You must have nothing to do. Unemployed?

I remember the screeching and hollering that went on by the Right Wing and joker surrogates like Rush Limbaugh (the BRILLIANT mind behind the Palin pick!! What a sage!! :)) when Clinton was President. Spending every available minute picking apart obscure issues looking for a way to destroy a successful President. You all are gonna go nuts, huh? A Black liberal president will just eat out your guts!!

Good. About time.
The rest of us are gonna be partying.

Kinda late to jettison her don't you think? Regardless, I don't believe that's the motive. I suspect this is more of a panic reaction to the looming loss.

Luckily no, unlike a large block of supporters the left has. What is your job? Union janitor?

And the loony left hasn't spent any time picking apart Bush the past eight years have they? Oh I forgot, they've been working to make the country better! LOL you are fucking clueless. If you think Clinton was under a microscope, the one Republicans will surely pull out for Obama will make Clinton's look like a $1.99 dime store magnifying glass. What goes around comes around.

Or haven't you noticed???
Probably not.
Look you are in a lonely place and I am not the type to beat a loser, so I won't anymore.

Difference is, the agendas of Rush Limbaugh and the Republicans during the 90s were hand-in-glove.
The Republicans even anointed Rush the "majority-maker" and inducted him as an honorary member of Congress .
What has the "loony left" effectively accomplished these past 8 years?
On any number of issues (wiretapping, torture, war spending, impeachment) all they have to show is alot of sound and fury.

Obviously you haven't read my posts. If you did, you'd know that I'm right with TNC on criticizing Bush and the Republicans. It's ok, I don't expect a union lemming janitor to actually intelligently contribute to political discussion. You just parrot what you've been told to parrot.

By the way, in case you haven't noticed, Obama isn't that far ahead. Although he'll likely win, McCain's supporters are hardly a minority.

Isn't there some relative humidity running down your sisters ass you need to go wipe off? If you get my drift?

Truth is that it was impossible for The Dems in Congress to do anything while in the minority in Congress and in the last two years the Republican minority still had enough members to filibuster anything meaningful. (I actually watch CSpan.)
On the other hand the Democratic Congress has in the past two years been weak because they still are afraid of being labelled unAmerican by the screeching Right. Also there is an ethical distaste for acting with the monstrous and ugly partisanship that the Right has made their trademark (having learned at the knee of Rove and Atwater before him what it takes to stay in power--ridicule of your opponent!))

The Dems will change the policies of the Right on such issues as torture and wiretapping when in the Majority in an orderly way that will not tear the Country apart.
If the Dems have a majority they will want to support Obama's vision of overcoming the rancorous partisanship that has paralyzed the Legislative branch. It has to happen. We have to finally take our government seriously and resolve the Country's serious problems.
Obama is right for the Country now because he has the skill and stature to bring change that does not diminish anyone and will allow all to participate with respect.

I hope....That's what he stands for. That's why he has gotten so much support.

It is absolutely, positively too late to jettison her. I firmly believe that McCain and his advisors now accept the fact that selecting Palin was a MAJOR blunder, on their part, that will ultimately cost him the election. I think that they also know that there is no freakin' way that they can just throw Palin off the ticket, with just a little over a week, before the general election. Also, turning your back on someone you purport to support, NEVER works in this country. I believe the reason Al Gore lost is because he tried like hell to distance himself from Clinton, and most Americans simply thought it was disingenuous.

Boy is that a TYPICAL right wing argument. Ever think of anything original? Or do you just berate Democrats because Rush Limbaugh feeds you this bullshit and you don't take a moment to THINK. If you did you might actually see the brilliance in Obama and the amateur disingenuousness of McCain.

I was going to use crayons but I figured a visual picture would serve your feeble mind better.

Regarding my jab in a previous post, I should have figured your IQ was too low to get it. You'll have plenty of time to think about it when you get on the short bus Monday morning.

You do an excellent job of keeping the brain-dead-follow-the-pack-off-the-cliff stereotype alive. You mother should be proud!

Oh, just one more thing. In my original post that started this banter between you and I, I stated that I *do* want Obama to win. Don't worry, I didn't give you credit for actually reading what I wrote before writing your response.

This election is going to be "no excuses" time for the Democrats. They'll no longer be able to use their minority position as an excuse for their incompetence. I do hope they do the right thing, we shall see. For many true Conservatives who think like me, we would rather have Obama because McCain is a fraud. I'll let you ponder the upside. Wait, am I giving you too much to think about? Grab the Prozac, take deep breaths, repeat "Obamamassiah" ten times. You'll feel better.

That advice was free by the way.

Lastly, I'm not Republican so you can stop beating that drum.

Mike, I would have never guessed.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

It's hard to be impressed with your support of Obama:

" Look at the bright side.

Although I do want Obama to win (for Conservative strategy reasons), I wont pass up on the hilarity a McCain win will bring".

Are you implying that you want Obama to win so that the ensuing "political trainwreck" works for Conservative to win the political war and regroup more united, divisive and self-righteous than ever? Truly pro-small government and each man for himself? Thanks but no thanks.

I'm pleased you have enough left of the melted mass between your ears to recognize that McCain is a disaster in every way possible.

OK. I will acknowledge a truce if you will. Maybe you'll be swayed by the Obama mystique that will rachet down the heated rhetoric when "the Democrats actually do the right thing and govern for the good of the country."

Wanna come to the Obama Won party??????

:D

obama also could have chosen a better running mate... someone who received more votes... someone like clinton.

there are more than enough people in here bashing the rep party. you don't need my help. on top of that there is the lib media.

i don't see myself as being blind... at least not any longer. i can see right through the lib bs. that doesn't mean i think the rep party is perfect... i just don't believe all the hype the media would like everyone to believe. talk about a spin zone.

look... all that without one personal attack. }:C)

You are the person on this board most easily seduced by the frat-boy-at-a-bar pickup lines. You buy the whole package, hook, line and sinker, unequivocally.

You are NOT a former Democrat...and you're too easily blindsided and too readily believe what you're told to believe to be a double agent.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!
