Sorry, sir, but that dubious honor has already been permanently and perpetually reserved for one George W. Bush. He is the worst democratically "elected" President in the history of Western Civilization, and has done NOTHING right.

obama also could have chosen a better running mate... someone who received more votes... someone like clinton.

there are more than enough people in here bashing the rep party. you don't need my help. on top of that there is the lib media.

i don't see myself as being blind... at least not any longer. i can see right through the lib bs. that doesn't mean i think the rep party is perfect... i just don't believe all the hype the media would like everyone to believe. talk about a spin zone.

look... all that without one personal attack. }:C)

You are the person on this board most easily seduced by the frat-boy-at-a-bar pickup lines. You buy the whole package, hook, line and sinker, unequivocally.

You are NOT a former Democrat...and you're too easily blindsided and too readily believe what you're told to believe to be a double agent.

There, sweetie, do you feel better? Your brilliance is not lost on me, sugar.....

I'll bet you like your hair pulled too huh?

Oh, just one more thing. In my original post that started this banter between you and I, I stated that I *do* want Obama to win. Don't worry, I didn't give you credit for actually reading what I wrote before writing your response.

This election is going to be "no excuses" time for the Democrats. They'll no longer be able to use their minority position as an excuse for their incompetence. I do hope they do the right thing, we shall see. For many true Conservatives who think like me, we would rather have Obama because McCain is a fraud. I'll let you ponder the upside. Wait, am I giving you too much to think about? Grab the Prozac, take deep breaths, repeat "Obamamassiah" ten times. You'll feel better.

That advice was free by the way.

Lastly, I'm not Republican so you can stop beating that drum.

Tree, the truth hurts.

If I'm an internet bully, then how do you explain the highly over-the-top personal attacks by your neo-conservative contingent here?

Give me a break. Try to have an original thought from time to time, Miss Cut-and-Paste.

It is absolutely, positively too late to jettison her. I firmly believe that McCain and his advisors now accept the fact that selecting Palin was a MAJOR blunder, on their part, that will ultimately cost him the election. I think that they also know that there is no freakin' way that they can just throw Palin off the ticket, with just a little over a week, before the general election. Also, turning your back on someone you purport to support, NEVER works in this country. I believe the reason Al Gore lost is because he tried like hell to distance himself from Clinton, and most Americans simply thought it was disingenuous.

Eh, a few things.

John and MIke...you're both assuming that it's too late for a normal candidate to ditch her. I agree with you.....but, we're talking about an eratic, old senile fuck that has tried to bail on two presidential debates in his lifetime, claim a sound economy the same week before the most significant point collapse of the dow over the course of a few weeks, who's swapped sides on some important issues not once, not twice...but three times....sometimes in the course of a few weeks.

As I've already stated.....what he and a select few brainwashed dipshits within his campaign call "Maverick"....the rest of the level-headed world calls psycho and/or eratic.

It wouldn't shock me at all to see McCain kick Palin to the curb either today or tomorrow....seeing what I've seen out of this fucked up 'try anything twice' campaign of McCains. In McCain's half-baked mind, he might actually think people will embrace a move....when in reality, most people will just discredit his judgment more for making a decission on a failed candidate.

If, today, there's another major news-outlet smear/outing job on Palin, I'll bet my left testicle on McCain pushing Palin overboard within the next 24 hours. One caveat is that the smear/outing needs to contain additional quotes from inside the DisDain camp not already culled for the first article.

Otherwise, we can simply discredit the first story to a campaign that doesn't know what the fuck it's doing...and has lost control of people inside the campaign....

Granted, the second scenario is far more likely....but like I said...if there's another piece put out by the press in a major outlet, containing *new* information from within the camp....It immediately makes the first scenario the most plausable scenario....

McCain Communications Director Gave Reporters Incendiary Version Of "Carved B" Story Before Facts Were Known
By Greg Sargent - October 24, 2008, 5:12PM
John McCain's Pennsylvania communications director told reporters in the state an incendiary version of the hoax story about the attack on a McCain volunteer well before the facts of the case were known or established -- and even told reporters outright that the "B" carved into the victim's cheek stood for "Barack," according to multiple sources familiar with the discussions.

John Verrilli, the news director for KDKA in Pittsburgh, told TPM Election Central that McCain's Pennsylvania campaign communications director gave one of his reporters a detailed version of the attack that included a claim that the alleged attacker said, "You're with the McCain campaign? I'm going to teach you a lesson."

Verrilli also told TPM that the McCain spokesperson had claimed that the "B" stood for Barack. According to Verrilli, the spokesperson also told KDKA that Sarah Palin had called the victim of the alleged attack, who has since admitted the story was a hoax.

The KDKA reporter had called McCain's campaign office for details after seeing the story -- sans details -- teased on Drudge.

The McCain spokesperson's claims -- which came in the midst of extraordinary and heated conversations late yesterday between the McCain campaign, local TV stations, and the Obama camp, as the early version of the story rocketed around the political world -- is significant because it reveals a McCain official pushing a version of the story that was far more explosive than the available or confirmed facts permitted at the time.

The claims to KDKA from the McCain campaign were included in an early story that ran late yesterday on KDKA's Web site. The paragraphs containing these assertions were quickly removed from the story after the Obama campaign privately complained that KDKA was letting the McCain campaign spin a racially-charged version of the story before the facts had been established, according to two sources familiar with the discussions.

The story with the removed grafs is still right here. We preserved the three missing grafs from yesterday:

A source familiar with what happened yesterday confirmed that the unnamed spokesperson was communications director Peter Feldman. Feldman was also quoted yesterday making virtually identical assertions on the Web site of another local TV station, WPXI. But those quotes, which we also preserved here, are also no longer available on WPXI's site, for reasons that are unclear.

This is problematic because the McCain campaign doesn't want to have been perceived as pushing an incendiary story that not only turned out to be a hoax but which police officials said today risked blowing up into a "national incident" and has local police preparing to file charges against the hoaxster.
There's no evidence that anyone from McCain national headquarters put out a version of events like this. After the story appeared on KDKA's site and this and other pieces in the local press started flying around the political world, an Obama spokesperson in the state angrily insisted to KDKA that it was irresponsible for the station to air the McCain spokesperson's incendiary version of events before the facts were fully known, according to two sources familiar with the discussions.

After that, KDKA went back to McCain's Pennsylvania spokesperson, Feldman, and asked if he stood by the story as he'd earlier told it, but he started backing off the story, a source familiar with the talks says. That prompted KDKA to remove the grafs.

Feldman couldn't immediately be reached, and a McCain HQ spokesperson declined to comment.

You make a compelling argument, Frank. I just don't see this happening. I think that even if McCain and his closest advisors believe that he has the election lost (which I believe to be the case), that it would be political suicicde for him to throw Palin off the ticket. I guess the one caveat here is that McCain is older than dirt, and already has one foot in the grave. Because of that, he may not really care, as he doesn't have very many political campaigns left in him! It's growing increasingly clear that many of McCain's advisors aren't very fond of Puppet Palin, so who knows. I know that when Brian Williams interviewed Palin and McCain on their campaign bus late last week, you could cut the tension with a knife. I suspect when this campaign is over that these two won't cross paths again, and probably won't even talk to each other. As Brian Williams correctly pointed out, McCain knew almost nothing about Palin, before selecting her as his running mate, so I'm sure it won't be a "friendship" that won't be missed, by either side!

I agree...but the point i was trying to make is that McCain has been doing "WTF" things his entire political career. While we can sit here that it's normal for most people to ride out a choice like Palin...I dont consider McCain normal.

I still dont understand the rationale to allow people in the McCain campaign to even return an email to the NYTIMES, let alone actually TALK to them and divulge dirt on the VP candidate. I mean, doesn't anyone else see the 'holy fuck' gravity of this?

I just don't get it...it makes zero sense.....unless you're laying groundwork to jettison her before Nov 4.

Logically, it makes far more sense to simply bite your tongue, fight it out till Nov 4...and if you lose, you can throw her to the wolves the morning of Nov 5 and lay all the blame on her shoulders for what went wrong. I'm sure we'll see more of that regardless....but from a tactical standpoint, I just dont get it...

I think in her own mind, Palin has this amazing thought that if McCain loses, she, somehow will will be the top dog for the GOP nomination in 2012. I think she's pissed at McCain for not whole heartedly supporting her attacks on Obama and feels that he has failed her and the Party.
Like I said, in her own mind.

McCain caved, and tried to shore up the Bush/Limbaugh/Coulter constituency (even Red Wing openly admitted if not for Palin he would stay home).
It was a bold gambit.
It failed.

Yeah, you act like an immature little child. Grow the fuck up drama queen.

If you don't want to have someone speak condescending to you, than don't dish it out. If you keep on trash talking people, you will get the same in return. The choice is up to you. I never said anything to you until you decided to publicly scold me. That is not your job. If Andrew doesn't like something I do, he will tell me. He doesn't need you as his police woman.
