Joe Scarborough is not a conservative why, Tito? Because he doesn't wear blinders like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and doesn't bash every Democrat and and will criticize his party when warranted? He still seems conservative to me. He didn't really want McCain, because he's not a true conservative. And, unfortunately, he's defending Sarah Palin. I don't agree with him on a lot, but, at least, he can be fairminded towards the other party. He actually said what he admired about Clinton when a lot of even the liberal commentators on MSNBC were unfair towards her b/c of their lovefest for Obama.

Tito wrote:Joe Scarborough WAS a conservative. He has moved to the left lately along with MSNBC. Not a liberal by any means but not as good as he once was.

Joe's go-to rationale for supporting the Iraq War was always citing George Tenet's line of "slam dunk", and then Tenet came out and repudiated it.
Combined with the aftermath of Katrina, and it all proved one humiliating GOP damage control too many.
Joe didn't move left, he just chose not to tailor his Conservative principles to Bush and Co's latest failure of the week.

Also, his show, along with O'Reilly and Hannity's America, serve as the TV progenitors of The Colbert Report.
Unlike those guys, Joe saw the writing on the wall, and abandoned the Norman Rockwellian faux-patriot act before it was too late.

Again, I'd like to see an instance of this.
Just because Limbaugh or Hannity claims to have been misquoted, I wouldn't take them at their word.
Olbermann consistently provides more context then even his own peers at the network - while the rest of the channel was crucifying Bill Clinton as a racist only Olbermann played his words in full.
This happens time and time again.

Whoops. He's losing in every swing state he needs to win, plus several more.

Self-affirming dittoheads in Kansas and Oklahoma notwithstanding, McCain stands to get trounced in the electoral college. Keep dreaming, Lie Finder.

We've learned more about Senator Obama's real goals for our country over the last two weeks than we learned over the past two years, and that only because Joe the plumber asked him a question in Ohio. That's when Senator Obama revealed he wants to quote "spread the wealth around."

Now, Joe didn't ask for Senator Obama to come to his house, and he didn't ask to be famous. He certainly didn't ask for the political attacks on him from the Obama campaign. Joe's dream is to own a small business that will create jobs, and the attacks on him are an attack on small businesses all over the country. Small businesses employ 84 percent of Americans, and we need to support small businesses, not tax them.

After months of campaign trail eloquence, we've finally learned what Senator Obama's economic goal is: to spread the wealth. In a radio interview revealed this week, he said the same thing -- that one of the quote, "tragedies" of the civil rights movement is that it didn't bring about "redistributive change."

You see, Senator Obama believes in redistributing wealth, not in policies that grow our economy and create jobs. He said that even though lower taxes on investment help our economy, he favors higher taxes on investment for quote "fairness." There's nothing "fair" about driving our economy into the ground. We all suffer when that happens, and that is the problem with Senator Obama's approach to our economy. He is more interested in controlling wealth than in creating it ... in redistributing money instead of spreading opportunity. I am going to create wealth for all Americans, by creating opportunity for all Americans.

Senator Obama is running to be Redistributionist in Chief. I'm running to be Commander in Chief. Senator Obama is running to spread the wealth. I'm running to create more wealth. Senator Obama is running to punish the successful. I'm running to make everyone successful.

Senator Obama has made a lot of promises. First he said people making less than 250,000 dollars would benefit from his plan, then this weekend he announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than 200,000 dollars you'll benefit -- but yesterday, right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said tax relief should only go to "middle class people -- people making under 150,000 dollars a year." It's interesting how their definition of rich has a way of creeping down. At this rate, it won't be long before Senator Obama is right back to his vote that Americans making just 42,000 dollars a year should get a tax increase. We can't let that happen.- Sen. John McCain

Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow and can't call off, so I'll be too late to the rally to get close enough to actually meet her like I did with McCain. :(

It'll be awesome though, I can't wait to meet some fellow young McCain/Palin supporters in town.. seems like all my friends and peers are Obamniacs.

A client of mine, a (female) Republican feminist, abhors Palin and says that she's voting Democratic for the first time in her 39 years (6 elections). She's the reason McCain is losing...that and his outdated message.

I'm a registered Democrat and Palin was one of the main forces that tipped me to the right for this election.

For every one that doesn't like Palin, I'm sure there's one more somewhere that likes her.

It's funny how no-one here is TOUCHING the fact that G.Gordon Liddy and McCain are very close friends; the same people who assail Obama's informal relationship with Ayers seem to forget about Liddy.

And by the way, Palin's alaska was BY FAR the most socialist state in America thanks to HER leadership:

My mother is as big a Bush hater as anyone on this board. She was a big supporter of Hilary and Bill before her, she loves Palin and is voting for her. First time I recall her voting for a Republican. I don't know if she voted for Reagan in '84 or not.

The numbers just don't support that postulation. Her popularity diminishes daily.

Put a bag over her head, and give her Madeline Albright's body, and THEN tell me how much you like her.

See what I mean?

You did.

The only way McCain wins this election is through massive voter disenfranchisement and intimidation in ten swing states. Not even your party can pull THAT off.

And she embodies Democratic principles in the slightest how?
She's little more than an empty receptable of social wedge issues - abortion, guns, god etc.

Not at all.

I'm a situational voter and I personally feel that McCain and Palin are best-suited for the country now... I'm very pessimistic about Obama's inexperience/past/wealth-spreading and Joe Biden, period. Both Dem candidates are better politicans than leaders, I believe.... while McCain and Palin will be better leaders.

Hell, I'm not even sure Obama's a good politician...

there is a huge difference between giving money to SOME people, and giving it to ALL people.

also, they are not taking this money from SOME people, they are collecting it as a tax from oil companies and instead of spending it they are refunding it to the people... HUGE difference

1- Polls don't mean shit, that's been proven time and time again.

2- The entire political system is a clusterfuck and if Obama wins by any less than 100,000 votes in certain states, it's a corrupt election due to all of the illicit (and allowed, thank you to the courts) ACORN voter registration and influence....
