Question? Are all the early votes counted along with the regular vote? Does it happen later?

I wish my car ran on warm fuzzy feelings and I wish those same warm and fuzzies could power my bank account during tax time. I don't give a rat's ass about warm and fuzzy feelings. The bail outs happened with Bush (not a huge fan but this is the truth) in office and Obama will get credit for the turnaround so the American people (sheep) will all love Obama. The angels will sing, etc, etc. That is my prediction for next year

I was watching clips of the reverend that Obama was friends with last night. I would vote for McCain solely on that fact that he doesn't have friends/mentors that are as crazy as that dude. That preacher defines racism.

That was hilarious but no one cares...In other news, it was found by the independent investigator assigned to the case that there is no evidence that Palin violated any Alaska state ethics law.

Agreed. If John McCain had dinner at the home of James Earl Ray and used the "he did that years ago" excuse I doubt it would fly. The media has coddled Obama since the inception of his run. Hell, did they even call out Biden for his "Mark my words, within the first 6 months of Obama's presidency we will face a crisis" speech? How the fuck could people not want to know what he meant during his senile rant???

Only an idiot would raise taxes and focus on capital gains at this juncture. It would create a slide towards depression.

I think what will happen is Obama will use this platform to win, then sometime in the first quarter will say he's postponing (not canceling) the tax increases. The bailout and other liquidity injection packages will start to take hold of the market and turn the economy around. He'll focus on useful spending and NOT balance the budget. People are not concerned with the budget when they are struggling themselves. So, once the economy rebounds and people feel a bit more secure about where everything is headed, then he'll dump the tax hikes into the market place. So, by early 2010 life will be better for everyone. There'll be some time before the tax hikes truly take effect and then change the way people view their own spending habits. It won't be until late 2012 or even 2013 when things start to turn south based on the tax increases. By then, he'll likely have won reelection and the second 4 years will be a financial shit show and we'll see a Republican candidate running under "change."

This one was a 3 person panel, one of them a Democrat.
The last one was an 14 personal panel, 10 of them Repubs.
Who you gonna believe?

I don't watch CNN, MSNBC, FOX etc. all day, but from what I can, this was covered pretty heavily.

This is all based on the wild assumption that this bailout actually does as intended. That's a big fucking leap of biblical proportions in itself.

Unfortunately, it's not going to turn around. As I've stated before, the general populous has a very short recollection in terms of cause and effect. The next sitting president is going to have, at the very least, massive inflation dropped in his lap. Liberals will be screaming IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT! To a certain degree, that claim will have merit however the decisions the next president makes in his first year will soften or harden the impact of the coming financial problems. Oh, I should add the general populous won't be analyzing all the nitty gritty details. The man sitting in the chair will reap the rewards or the scorn.

No point in complaining about it. White on black racism is perfectly acceptable in our society. You can thank the politically correct crowd for that. If McCain had a preacher that preached hate towards blacks, the left would have formed a modern day media lynch mob.

That bailout is going to have catastrophic implications down the road. At the very least it has further ushered in the mindset that when things get tough you can lean on the government to bail you out. The paradigm shift in idealogy has been extreme. 50 years ago people would make sacrifices when things got tough. I guarantee that the vast majority of people that lost their houses still had cell phones, new cars, cable and the internet. People simply don't know what to do during hard times from a practical standpoint.

I just heard on the news that the ethics board is selected by the Governor. If that's accurate, the findings are meaningless.

Personally, I think the bailout is entirely too large and simply begs for wasteful spending. Hell, AIG already spent $400,000 on a junket. Yeah, that was necessary. The end result will be that it works. It probably won't be perfect as we've already seen, but it certainly can't hurt. Whether it's the magic pill that turns the entire economy around remains to be seen. Obama is coming into office at the perfect time. If he doesn't rock the boat too much and simply let's the package work, he'll look amazing. However, there's potential for him to blow it up.

So true...Rev. Wright was a spiritual mentor to Obama, not just a fantasy football buddy. That kind of association is scary. Same with him being buddies w/ Ayers and giving love the PLO leader. Scary.

And I have pointed out a few times, you have been wrong saying Kerry had a lead. He never lead from mid October on.

You Cons hold each other tight tomorrow. It's gonna be a tough day, and I predict that the election is mathematically over at 938PM eastern.

Also, look for ND, MT to go blue and my surprise state pick: GA.

I think you are smoking things. This is going to be a far closer race than anyone thought. No I am not going to bet, I have better things to do with my money, like put it away when the new Obama/Pelosi/Reid tax bill comes due.

I didn't say Kerry had a lead, I am saying I heard from all sorts of Democrats in 2004 how Bush was going down and it was going to be a landslide, boy were they wrong.

As you COULD be...I don't know...this race has become hard to judge. Now please ask Andrew to let you back on using your own name, so if I go off on you people don't think I am beating up on poor Lula!

No it won't. I am on record as saying 353- to whatever, maybe even higher. LANDSLIDE.

I didn't say Kerry had a lead, I am saying I heard from all sorts of Democrats in 2004 how Bush was going down and it was going to be a landslide, boy were they wrong.

You have said many times grasshopper, that Kerry had a lead and one time, you must have been shitfaced, you said Kerry was up 8 late, and I was so enraged I couldn't respond I texted you on the phone. (cocksucker).

I don't know...this race has become hard to judge.

No. Very easy to judge. The late talk about "tightening" is a political campaign tactic in order to try to energize the demoralized party to keep going. This is a 6-9 point win, a landslide in politics.

Now please ask Andrew to let you back on using your own name, so if I go off on you people don't think I am beating up on poor Lula!

He won't do it, and I really don't want to go off on anyone, as evidenced by my unity attempt the other night. I am skirting danger here in these few posts by posting. I am sure some ass sucking buttermilk fuck will be PM ing DrewMac about me posting. Go fuck yourselves tolls. :x 8)

My last comment before I vote tommorrow...
I'm pretty resigned to Obama winning tomorrow. I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Seems like a decent dude with the right intentions (regardless of his association with Rev.Wright)...However, given that there isn't one economist out there stating Obama's tax plan will help us out of this fiscal crisis, I certainly have my concerns. I also have my concerns about his foreign policy, but like I said, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

One other thing...if Al Franken wins a Senate seat in Minnesota, I will have lost all faith in humanity.

According to the Star Tribune, the race is neck and neck. I spent six weeks in the Twin Cities a few years ago and I met some really great people. I really thought Minnesotan's were a level headed bunch thus it's quite baffling why Franken is even a contender.
