You can't possibly sit there with a straight face and say out loud that you think that Obama was flipping off McCain!?!?!

Jesus Christ...I'm ashamed to once call myself a republican.

No fucking wonder this party cant win dick anymore. Not one single republican has taken the fight to Obama on ISSUES. Instead, it's stupid, childish shit like this...whether or not Obama scratching the corner of his mouth with the wrong finger is really a hidden flip-off gesture!?!?!?!

Do you really think like this!?!?!

Why hasn't Obama been dealt harsh blows from the republican on his PLATFORM. Not his associations with people that may or may not be material!?!?! I submit that if Obama had to fight off the ISSUES and not who he had fucking dinner with one night in LA, He'd actually would have had to work ALOT harder to maintain his current lead in the polls.

Here's a perfect example.

My wife, who's a far better citizen than I will ever be, was a top student through ivy league undergrad and law schools and is a very successful attorney....would make an EXCELLENT candidate for public office for either party. She is smarter than I, she is one of the best writers I've ever known, she cares about the issues that are important to people and has great ideas on how to solve them.

Unfortunately, she will never be able to run for office, becuase she has a cousin (who happens to be a priest of all fucking things) that has been arrested literally hundreds of times for defacing military property in anti-war protests going back over 20 years to the present. This guy has written his own 'mein-kampfs' while rotting in cells, about his persecution. Meanwhile, the so-called 'persecution' he refers to is the fact that he got caught sneaking onto air bases....and dumping red paint on f-16s in anti-war protests.

Just because my wife is related to a cousin we see once every 15 years...she wouldn't survive a campaign like this. Because right-wing psycho douchebags would drag this guys record out onto the campaign for all to see...and she would have to contend with a 'relationship' she doesn't have...with a cousin she doesn't see....

...but the fact of the matter is a person's associations with people are as varried as people themselves. How many of you that will try to tie Obama to Kalidi or Ayers, who don't have distant, sporadic contact with people you haven't seen in 15 years? I dated a girl back in 1991 who likely has been filmed burning a flag....if I run for office, is her actions LONG after I stopped seeing her going to hurt my campaign?

This is one of the many reasons why the right is going to lose this one.....they tried, desperately, to tie Obama to people he may or may not have had significant contact with.....instead of addressing Obama's campaign platform. They refused to explain why Obama's voting record and campaign platform wouldn't be as good a choice as McPains. Instead...they just fucking attacked Obama for tenuous associations....

Meanwhile, Obama never fucking left the issues on the table. Thats ALL he talked about....while McCain refused to talk about them...

I've been fucking saying this for fucking MONTHS now. The republicans need to fucking lose in biblical proportions today....and go home and rethink about the reasons they're on the playing field to begin with. They need a gut check. They need to jetison the Cheney, Bush, McCain types...and redefine a party that means something to people....instead of a party that's designed around making people scared of the other side....

Fuck...why is this so hard for some people to understand!??!

It'll be interesting to hear the talking heads postmortem examination of the Republican party after the election. I think I'll tune into Rush & Hannity tomorrow just to hear the collective whining from the kool-aid clueless trying to figure out what went wrong.

Hosts like Hannity & Rush are just as responsible in derailing the Republican party as their elected counter-parts. Like loyal sheep dogs, they kept the herd tight & in line while the cowboys on horses lead the pack right off the fucking cliff. Comically pathetic.

If you think I'm jumping off a sinking ship at the last minute, think again. I left the Republican party just after the 04 election. I simply couldn't stand to listen to these guys anymore specifically blaming Democrats by name but yet using general terms like "Congress" or "Elected Officials" when referring to problems that were directly the result of Republican policy.

Don't know about the rest of the country but it's gloomy, dark and drizzling here in SoCal. How fitting.

where are you? we're in santa monica. i didn't know you were a local.

i couldn't agree with you more about the strategies used by the mccain campaign and the gop. the focus should always be on the issues cuz folks get tired of the bs. mccain continued hilary's losing strategy, he should have done what he used to do and stick to his guns and go the 'straight talk' route.

Lula,

That's what's truly ironic about DisDain's campaign. With all of this 'Country First' and 'Straight Talk' bullshit...you'd think that he'd actually practice what he preached. His campaign has been everything *but* 'Straight Talk' and his policies seem to put Israel and Iraq first, before this country....

A Repeat of 2004 Philly Voter Chaos, Fraud
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 7:46 AM

GOP Election Board members have been tossed out of polling stations in at least half a dozen polling stations in Philadelphia because of their party status.

A Pennsylvania judge previously ruled that court-appointed poll watchers could be NOT removed from their boards by an on-site election judge, but that is exactly what is happening, according to sources on the ground.

It is the duty of election board workers to monitor and guard the integrity of the voting process.

Denying access to the minority (in this case Republican) poll watchers and inspectors is a violation of Pennsylvania state law. Those who violate the law can be punished with a misdemeanor and subjected to a fine of $1,000 and sent to prison between one month and two years.

Those on site are describing the situation as "pandemonium" and there may be video coming of the chaos.

Some of the precincts where Republicans have been removed are: the 44th Ward, 12th and 13th divisions; 6th Ward, 12th division; 32nd Ward, Division 28.

“Election board officials guard the legitimacy of the election process and the idea that Republicans are being intimidated and banned for partisan purposes does not allow for an honest and open election process,” said McCain-Palin spokesman Ben Porritt in a statement to Townhall.

The City of Brotherly Love was roiled in controversy during the 2004 election because of rigged voting machines that showed nearly 2,000 votes for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry before the polls had opened. A man also used a gun to intimidate poll workers at Ward 30, division 11 in 2004.

When I hear Mexicain diarrea talking with moronic talking points like "We're gonna reform Washington!" "We're gonna shake up the status quo!, I feel like bitch slapping that relic.

Seriously, who does that old fuck think he's fooling? Washington isn't the problem, it's RINO's like him that are the problem.

Yea, I'm feeling a little hostile today :) :)

well... if people (lula or dean }:C))) can say that joe the plumber was a mccain plant i guess you could believe that obama was flipping the bird... he's done it more than once... this gesture... also when talking about the other candidate... he did this when talking about hillary. do i think he really did... i dunno... it looks like he's just scratching his chin. i do that tho when we're in public & i want to tell my hubby to "f-off" (jokingly!)... scratch my chin with my middle finger... he does it to me as well.

thought the video was funny so i posted it. take a chill pill. }:C)

btw... not a rep.

Here's some food for thought.

I believe the massive power shift that will take place today is not the resounding stamp of approval of Democrats' socialist ideas but a resounding and punishing rejection of a Republican party gone horribly wrong. I still believe the majority of the country is right of center.

Had the Republicans done (at the very least) a *decent* job, not stellar, but decent job of managing the country during the last eight years, McCain would win hands down today.

I don't think the majority is right of center anymore. The demographics in the U.S. are just shifting far too quickly for this trend to still be the case.

On another note, if McCain SOMEHOW pulls out the electoral vote but loses the popular vote, this place could get like fuckin Afghanistan in certain parts of the country...

if we see a shift in power i do believe it is a rejection of the gop and failed policies. if obama is who i think he is, he won't get all crazy and liberal, but move to the center and seek bipartisan support. if the dems gain control and go 'rogue ;)' they'll be out of power in 2 years. i expect more moderate moves and hope it goes how i want it to
