Lula,

I'm in Carlsbad :)

I agree with you completely. If Obama panders to the far left, the Dem's horse will fall flat on it's face leaving the gate. If he models his presidency more like Clinton, I think he stands a very good chance of being succesful.

I don't disagree, but I think we're about 7 years past apeshit at this point.

Pelosi and Reid won't let him, neither will the far left that he is beholden to. He won't dare veto anything, and Republicans will be powerless to do anything because the Democrats will more than likely have a super majority.

I can't wait to see the Obama supporters start making excuses, and before you bring up Bush, not many people here make up excuses for Bush.

I agree here as well. The "If you break it, you own it model" is going to apply VERY heavily to the democrat party over the next two years. They will have a majority to near super majority in Congress, When Ruth Ginsberg steps down on Jan 21, Obama will replace her with a very left-wing judge...and Obama will be in the presidency winning by a landslide victory of biblical proportions.

While some people will claim this amounts to a mandate...I think it's more a suggestion by the american people that "hey, we gave the reins to the repukelicans for x number of years...they fucked up. Now it's your turn. We'll be watching"

Because of the huge majorities the democrats will likely have in all 3 branches of government, the minute something breaks hard....the Democrats are going to have to buy it....

I believe they know this and they will likely manage from a position of responsibility over the next few years....until they get greedy in another 6-10 years....at that point, we'll have to re-evaluate....

Who gives a fuck! What the hell does that have to do with anything. You and SJ need to come up with better shit than that! If you want to beat the Reverend Nutbag drum, I'll buy that all day long. Talking about a candidate voting at a locale that has some whack jobs voting at is just more of your nonsensical blabbering!

The first bill he will sign is the card check bill giving Union bosses a huge inflow of cash while taking away workers' right for a private ballot vote.

Can you imagine Bruno and Anthony coming into your work place and handing you a card saying..."I think you better vote to organize...and please do it now...right here...here's the pen...oh...and I know where you live...I know what car you drive...I know where your wife works...I know where your kids go to school...thank you...that yes vote is appreciated." If you don't think that is going to happen, you're smokin' some good shit.

I thought they (D's) were for the working people. I guess they are just for the "rich" union bosses who reap the $$ of all the working man's dues checks.

Normally I'd agree with your logic, but you don't know what the fuck you're talking about in this instance. The Hyde Park neighborhood has long been a far left almost counter culture. From the advent of the Black Panthers, to Farrakhan, to the El Rukn's, to Bill Ayers and now Barack Obama, the place is a midwestern Berkeley. If Obama wanted to raise his kids in a neutral sort of setting he failed miserably. He moved there for a reason. In this instance, where he voted is extremely relevant. There has long been a very anti-american, pro-entitlement philosophy in that area. You and Stu don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Liberal to communist. The foreign policy is liberal. Wiretaps are communist. Torture/brutality goes on in many urban police stations as well, allegedly. Those areas are controlled by democrats.

I'm beginning to believe that you guys are as fucking whacked as you accuse Obama of being. There must be something in the water in Chicago! Like I said, if you want to jump on the Reverend Wright bandwagon, it's not a bad place to really question Obama's affiliations. The Bill Ayers thing is just moronic! I haven't once heard you in this thread question McCain's affiliation with G. Gordon Liddy. His relationship with Liddy is FAR closer than Obama's relationship with Ayers! You fuckers are just grasping at strawers, much like the McCain campaign, at this point!

Right, because Americans are too aroused over their own party's candidate. It usually doesn't even matter where they stand on certain issues, which is sad. It's a reason that we don't usually have "landslide" presidential elections. Hell, the last president that even got more than 50% of the popular vote was Jimmy Carter and he barely got it, with 50.1%.

Got this in an e-mail and thought it was funny:

Subject: Important Notice

DUE TO RECENT BUDGET CUTS,

AND THE RISING COST OF ELECTRICITY, GAS AND OIL,

THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL HAS BEEN TURNED OFF.

WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

Sincerely,
The Government

Uhh, Reid and Pelosi haven't been far left.
Pelosi pledged that "impeachment was off the table" before even taking the gavel, and they have caved to all of Bush's demands.

Yeah...and I noticed you didn't refute anything I said about Liddy  Listen, we get it...you think Obama is the devil incarnate! I personally don't give a fuck if you went to high school near where Obama lives. Geographic proximity doesn't make you an expert on anything and doesn't mean that you know a thing about Obama, aside from what you and everyone else hears on the news! You sound like that dope Palin saying she's a foreign policy genius because Putin flew threw her airspace! If you truly are this Obama insider and know it all, perhaps you can lend your hand on CNN tonight during the election coverage. I'm sure that they would appreciate all of your "insider knowledge".
