Paraphrasing:"the problem - guided by a simplistic notion that people who have wealth are entitled to keep it, and have an antipithy towards the means of redistributing wealth"
Scary...

Obama's MTV Interview: Chump Change
When asked about raising taxes on those making over $250,000 Obama answered "that's chump change." Oh really, $9,000 added to what one is already sending to the IRS is chump change?
Sway: Just out of curiosity, for those that are being taxed that are making more than $250,000 a year, how much difference would it be from how they are being taxed today?
Obama: Well, right now, they are getting taxed at 36 percent. Under Bill Clinton in the 1990s, they were being taxed at 39.6 percent. You are talking about a 3.6 percent difference, and for the average person who is making half a million, a million dollars, now people like you Sway, that’s chump change, that’s nothing. But it could make a big difference for that young person who is trying to figure out whether they can go to college or not, if we could give them more of a break or more scholarships or grants to go to college.

So you're saying that your wife voluntarily sat and listened to her relative's psychotic rants without objection for 20 years?strangegrey wrote:Bullshit tito....they connections that I drew with my wife are very similar to the repeated connections that the Right has tried to draw with Obama.
Bill Ayers tried to kill government officials when he bombed the Pentagon and his wife constructed a bomb that killed a police officer. I agree that you can't always know who sits on a board with you, but when you knowingly enter the house of an enemy of the state you have exercised terrible judgment. And to be smug and unrepentent about it and use "I was 8 years old when that happened" as an excuse just goes to show that his voter base is made up predominantly of uneducated dopes.strangegrey wrote: Focus on the guy's issues....not the fucking people he had dinner with a few times, or sits on a board with.

I got something akin to that when I came back from Somalia. I had to write "I don't hate black people" one thousand times while in Social Actions class.

Good lord ..... please tell me you didn't literally have to do that .....

Do you even know the relationships people have on boards with eachother? for example....several years ago, Lou Dobbs sat on the board of Space.com with several people who DONT agree with him politically. If Dobbs ran for president, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I would ever consider those other people to have an influence factor on Dobbs...at all. How fucking rediculous....

This isn't a concert pic thread.

Sorry Guido we disagree. I'm not so quick to brand Obama a terrorist collaborator. That being said, he KNOWINGLY and WILLINGLY associated with a known terrorist & a known black supremacist. Ayers wasn't a "casual acquaintance" nor was his preacher.

It was annoying... Trav knows I heart him, but it was. And I'm all for being passionate about what you believe in, but a little objectivity goes a long way. Then again, the boy does the same thing with Steelers pics from time to time, so it is just his personality. That said, those Superbama pics made me puke in my mouth. A Batmccain would've had the same effect, in all fairness.
Is that you in your av?

I *really* find it impossible to believe that, when Obama was climbing the political ladder, someone didn't whisper in his ear "uhhh, Obama, this Ayers guy....you may want to keep a lot of distance between you and him"
