Like I said in another thread. JJ was crying because he is out of job. Plus, he's a real good actor. Would Juan Williams be crying if it was a black conservative? My money saids no.

McCain is a good man. He has a nice sense of humor and he carries himself in a positive fashion. Can't help but like the guy.

I dunno...I'm probably the ONLY person that noticed the title of the song they played as he walked out. If that was planned....he most certainly isn't a gentleman...

I still have a great lack of respect for the man. I think he personifies the definition of 'politician' as defined in the movie The Hunt for Red October. A politician, when not kissing babies, is stealing their lollipops. McCain is phony as they come....he'd lie his way out of a burning movie theater just to be the first one out the door....

Agreed.

Because of a speech now everyone likes him when 12 hours ago they couldn't stand him. Come on people. Then again a speech is how Obama got here too. I see how we got to this spot, gullible Americans in both parties.

Oh why don't you calm down a minute. They're just commenting on McCain's speech - nothing wrong with throwing a compliment if one is due, even a person you don't agree with or weren't rooting for.

Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In fairness, he wasn't the only one. It ramped up during his presidency no doubt and he's a cocksucker for it. But the wheels were in motion for a long time.

Boy isn't that the truth.

Policies and governing aside, that guy has been an embarrassment to have as a leader.

I've got to believe your comments are based on the soundbytes you have heard through various media sources. Have you ever attended or listened to an entire speech? Have you ever taken part of or listened to a meeting with the man? Sure...he had his moments, but the media and the Letterman's of the world did everything in their power to make him come off as poorly as possible. They could make anyone look like an idiot if they want to.

Bush addressed a small group I was a part of that had snipets of the speech later used in Letterman's little diddy he does every night. I can tell you...how they do that is unreal. In person, GW did not come across at all like he does through the media.

I'm proud of the USA for being able to vote a minority into office. I think that is fantastic.

Just keep on piling on...

It really struck me how Katie Couric sounded after that speech by McCain...a complete 180...something like..." a true patriot, servant of our country...father...grandfather..."blah blah blah. Contrast that with how she spoke on him prior to the election. Give me a break.

I'm sure there are actually people who didn't vote for McCain like the guy. I've always believed he was a likeable guy. Giving McCain credit for being gracious in his concession speech is an okay thing to do, even if you didn't vote for the guy. It's unfortunate that many McCain supporters don't have half the class that McCain exhibited last night!

One thing democrats can learn from this is that you count the votes, figure out who the winner is and the loser concedes!!! Yes, it's really that simple.

You know, I've told a few people this, but I liked Dubya. It wasn't until the past 18 months or so did he start fouling things up in my perspective. I never thought he was as horrible as popular opinion would have you believe. He's been the pop culture punching bag for well over 7 years now, and often unfairly.

However, I will never stop giggling about choking on a pretzel and bashing your face to bits.

You're missing the point, Taco Boy! I wasn't remotely happy that the Giants won the Super Bowl but I didn't sign on to this board one single time to whine about it! Put your pacifier back in your mouth and go swaddle Cain!

The Obama supporters were a bit too lively at ASU last night

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Region 8 News has received reports of some riot-like activity in Jonesboro. It happened at The Grove apartment complex just off the Arkansas State University campus on North Caraway. Officers from Jonesboro, Brookland, Bay, Craighead County Sheriff's Department and the State Police all responded to this incident. From what we've been told, at least one police officer has been injured. Region 8 News has a live truck on the way to the scene and will bring you the latest on kait8.com and on KAIT as it happens.

I did NOT vote for McCain. I voted for Bob Barr. The point I was making had Obama lost, they would've booed too at the mention of McCain. And they may have rioted (which was feared and actually still did happen a little bit on the West Side).

So there was a little bit of mayhem last night? I caught on the news this morning that everyone was shocked at how well-behaved the crowd was.

Most of the time it is just drunks getting out of hand. I think that was the case in Jonesboro. Would have happened at any frat party anyway, it was just a bigger crowd, and they had to call in reinforcements.

Media cover up as usual. I laugh how they talk of the riots after the Bulls title in '92 yet no one reported it back then, at least as a major news story.

Actually, here is a story they covered today but is spun as just a burglary (yeah right): http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2008 ... goods.html

Burglars bust into Foot Locker store with car
November 5, 2008 at 7:06 AM | Comments (0)
Chicago police this morning are searching for two men who crashed a car through the front window of a Lawndale Foot Locker store, then made off with merchandise.
The incident occurred at about 6:20 a.m. at 4036 W. Roosevelt Rd, police said. After taking unspecified merchandise, they fled, leaving the car behind, said Chicago Police Officer Dan O'Brien.

Details on the make and model of the car or whether it had a license plate were not immediately available.

As of two minutes ago, there were 305,583,823 people in the United States. If a few hundred got a little over zealous last night, I think we can let it go by this one time.

Come on, dude! That's a bit unfair, don't you think? I've seen crowds of whites who weren't exactly well-behaved.
