Not real sure about using his name but it certainly bothered me when they used his voice for commercials before playing Chicago. If you have a new lineup you should play the new vocalist's rendition of the song to be completely honest in what you're advertising...something they have failed to do quite a few times recently.

They can use Perry's voice on commercials if they're playing snippets of studio cuts.

All the commercials I heard for Journey concerts since they called the perry bluff and continued featured either all Augeri-sung live snippets or Perry studio snippets and Augeri live snippets.

Ask Strangegrey what he made the band do though in '98-'99 as far as posting flyers all over the place.
