What will be the sound on Journey's new album?

:wink: I agree, Eric! I hope it's "a bit more ambitious" as Steve Augeri has hinted. :D

Same thoughts here. I think Journey's most ambitious work, to date, was side two of Frontiers with songs like Rubicon, Frontiers and Troubled Child. It was a completely different sound from side one even.

We are getting closer to finding out. Journey will return to the studio in February to finish recording the new CD!!

:idea: I wonder IF they'll DEBUT 1 or 2 of those songs they're working on at the House of Blues concert? Seems to me they should take full advantage of an opportunity for free promotion, with all the media expected to be around. :wink:

Somehow I doubt the will preview any music. This event is about the past really. But I imagine their could be some really cool surprises with the guest appearances!!

Journey should, however, take advantage of all the media attention and TALK UP the new CD and Tour.

Well I cant wait anymore and Im sure, like the other releases it will be a majestic piece of work. Hope Neal saved the best tunes for Journey, since he was super busy with projects and writing fo others.
