My picks ..

Faith In The Heartland
A Better Life
Out Of Harm's Way
Better Together
Beyond The Clouds

Discuss.

While I agree, those are the only GREAT songs, that doesn't mean the rest are disposable. There are some ranging from good to mediocre on here as well (excluding Believe which is total shat).

Spike- u can make this same question in regards to TBF or ROR.

ROR only had 4-5 really good songs.
Same with TBF.

What one person doesn't like, another may love. So I do not think it is "filler".

Cubby does not like Knowing That You Love Me and I LOVE it...that is what is SO good about the CD.

You are so right. Gens is so diverse. Look how Cubby or spike doesn't put "Place in Your Heart" up there, but I love it. I hate KTYLM..

It is great that way

To me, this sounds like a composite of at least half a dozen ‘classic’ Journey songs, including Chain Reaction and Separate Ways. It left me with the impression of a band trying to sound like Journey.

Yeah, but this isn't the first time this has happened.
"To Be Alive Again" was redolent of "Be Good to Yourself". The keyboard segment of "Message of Love" was reminiscent of "Separate Ways" and "World Gone Wild" starts off sounding like "Separate Ways" until segueing into its own unique territory.
"The Place in Your Heart" is the same way, it's intro is suggestive of many things (chain reaction, separate ways etc etc) but the chorus is a total Journey original, as far as I can tell.

If one song off "Generations" deserves being conferred with the prestigious title of "classic" this puppy is it! GREAT tune.
