Gayest Journey Moment

Oh yeah. Here's a much needed topic to discuss.

I just watched a Frontiers concert, and with all the talk about "gayness" on the board, I had to start a gay Journey thread.

Perry gets called soft and effiminate, but we all know he is straight as an Australian Hiway.

The dude who looks the gayest, is poor Ross. In the show I watched, he had on a yellow milkman's uniform, the complete overall's look. And, to top it off, he was sportin a soup strainer stache. I mean this thing was a giant cookie duster. ..looked like a porno cop gone rock n roll. Jesus....All he needed was that gay hat that TNC said he wore during Gone Crazy or Walks Like a Lady.

I am sure there are tons of people just dying to respond here, so I will bail off.

"Ross, you bass playin' motherf*cker!"- Jeremey at the HOB show..

I laughed when Ross mentioned (in the MR Interview) that he had just cut his long hair off so he really didn't have a "style". But there is no excuse for the jumpsuits! Remember the teal one?! How many people wear teal???

The "table scene" in After The Fall is none too macho. It's no "I Want To Break Free" but it could have caused some "image damage".

I agree with Deano and 28, the jumpsuits Ross wore were terrible ! :D

The gayest Journey moment has GOT to be "Happy to Give". I have ALWAYS thought it sounded gay. It makes me think Perry is frolicking through a field of wildflower, like on the intro to "Little House On the Prairie"...and he's looking for froyline, who actualy loves the song.

I think the leg/toe drag that SP does on stage looks pretty gay to me!

LOL..Monker if you get a chance to pull your lips off Froy's unit, can you tell me why you were even watching Little House? And don't tell me Melissa was boobing either...she was too little.

Why oh why are you sucking up to a Styx fan? They are the junior league dude....My God..

"Perry gets called soft and effiminate, but we all know he is straight as an Australian Hiway."

Yo Deano,

I was talking to a producer not long ago, while on a shoot and he said without equivocation that Perry is gay. At first I thought he was kidding, so I said, You're kidding, right? He looked at me and say, "Nope."

Interestingly enough, I've heard that many times and I'm sure others have as well.

If he IS gay? I could absolutely care less. Being gay doesn't make a person a second class citizen, however can you imagine the meltdown that would take place among the female population if it was learned that this particular rumor turned out to be fact?! Whew...I shudder to think of it.

Anyway, the gayest moment for Journey? The video for LTS. They all looked rather funny during that vid, but Steve's "tied-at-the-waist-open-shirt" was the kicker. :)

Wholly Jesus sheep shit. I wouldn't think so, but....Oh man....

The Heads would totally implode. It would be great!

I agree Deano, the Loons would go crazy ! I am just imagining them saying it isn't true, etc. :D

Yes, and they'll say "But WAIT! Perry has a daughter!" Which is nothing. I know gay men who were married for years, have kids and eventually came out of the closet. Having kids means nothing...a developmentally challenged person (that's means "retarded") can have a kid and some have. Means nothing.

Life goes on and so do the Perry (Cold) Wars...

If you read their posts on their Perry sites, half of them say they have been with Perry sexually. Quite delusional.

I guess he could be gay, or not. It's really none of my business, but it wouldn't be the first time someone in the entertainment world kept that sort of thing a secret!

Perhaps "bisexual?" Know many....

Quite "in style" some places

Time to start strutting your perceived manhood guys, all this paranoia

Jeremey,

Maybe Espee is rather smart.

I believe he was smart NOT to marry. And secondly, I like hanging out and pounding beers all night watching sports at the bar, but if given the choice, I would rather hang with hot chicks..

It has nothing to do with paranoia. I could care less whether he's bi, gay, straight, an avowed celibate now or a sexless alien from another planet. I only liked him for his voice anyway. :)

What I find MORE interesting is the fact that while you are willing to acknowledge that Perry might be inclined to like men, you are also leaving the door open for the idea that he might like women as well. If so, then you can believe that you are still "in the running" if only Perry would cast a glance your way... :)

Indeed the only thing that matters  And if he is gay or bi doesn´t make him a bad or a weird person.

No, they wouldn't, Dean.
Alot like George Bush fanatics, 'Loons stand resolutely behind their guy unconditionally no matter what.
When it was revealed that Perry only contacts people via his lawyers, HOTS was quick to spin it to...

heardonthestreet wrote:It seems that he is just a very private guy Barb. It's part of his charm, for me anyway.

OooOoooh yeah, "privacy"...such an aphrodisiac. LOL.
What a turn on.

Take any trait of Steve Perry (be it an "attribute" or in the case of his pathological reclusiveness, a "flaw") and spin it to make it seem complimentary, flattering and just totally wonderful - that's what these lonely old maids do.

If something absolutely untenable was discovered about him.
Say, he was a canibal or something.
I have absolutely ZERO doubt that the crazed girlies would still put a positive, upbeat spin on it.
I can see it now....

Perryfaithful: Well, he's always been a unique artist. It doesnt suprise me in the least that he eats people. In fact, i think it adds to his uniqueness and makes him, in my eyes at least, an even more all around beatiful, human being.

Gay? He might be. It doesn't matter one way or the other. Relationships and love or "like" come and go so quickly that it's like musical chairs. If he is lucky enough to find someone who loves him for whomever he is than "good" for him. I think anyone would like to have that person in there life that compliments him or her. It doesn't effect the way that he sings or the fact that he is or is not capable of singing an r/b song.

Agreed.

Besides, the daughter is supposedly in her 30's, which would mean Perry had the lover boy thing going on way before Journey, which he joined in 1977. Perhaps the mother had to track him down to let him know. What I would love to know, is why he has never acknowledged her. (When asked about her in an interview he mumbled something about Patty Jenkins being yummy, but totally ignored the daughter thing.)

And on and on and on............. and round and round and round she goes...and where she stops nobody knows.. For some, ignorance is sheer bliss.
