Who's got it? The best singer for Journey is...

People are talking about this dude...have to check him out and let me know who you think is the better one for Journey. The guy kicks ass and can sing ANYTHING! I listened to all 60 video clips on this guy and to my ears he sounds best on Journey and Aerosmith songs. What better 2 voices could you have in one band-one singer! I'm gonna send these clips off to Journey's managment...

I think that guy is amazingly great!
He could make a perfect new singer for Journey.. Especially if the man can write lyrics along with the other guys..

He would be the next Perry of Journey cause hes got a powerful, convincing voice with wonderful highs.

Well, with the way this guy can sing or would be able to sing with a little more work he could well enough bring the band up as a new just like Perry once did.
Then writing would be a good thing for him to know..

I would bet money on it and im poor. lol
Would love to see Journey Perform with this man, honestly.
I believe in him.

Even though im sure it wont happen..

Well regardless if locknLoad is Neal or not, those clips of Arnel singing were very good! He does a great job on all those songs.

With bets like that you will stay poor. Try something with better odds... like a penny slot machine.

Woo hoo! I really respect u for saying that sweetie. Dare I ask, would u consider checking out a concert w/Arnel as lead singer? [ducks head]

If I was going to spend money seeing a band with a new singer, I would put it on Foreigner - which I haven't seen since the Lou Gramm days. I have already seen Journey with two singer replacements in the past few years. Been there, done that, sold the t-shirt on Ebay.

Now you know that Steve Perry will always remain FIRST with me, but I'd give Arnel an opportunity to show his talent live. :D

Off topic here...but Foreigner with Kelly Hansen really smokes. They put on a great show. If you ever get the chance to see them live, don't hesitate. Well worth it.

See folks? A band CAN continue on with a singer that sounds pretty much identical to the classic singer. If Arnel can do the J tunes justice, bring it on! I have friends that when they hear Kelly they think, cool.. old Foreinger tracks. uh...wrong!

If that's trouble, I want me some. Only thing wrong w/that video is the fuzziness & that has nothing to do w/Arnel. That's some soul going down right there. As Liam would say "Dayum". Check out this one too:

To me...Open Arms was just OK

He has problems with it in the upper register
Its strained.
Doesn't mean that he can't do it with training & a proper warm up
but to me it was just OK

Remember we are comparing him to Steve Perry

Faithfully however was impressive.
It soared & kept you afloat with every note.
I even got goose bumps.

I want us all to hear really old stuff & I'm confident he can do the entire catalog w/ease.

Who figured out it was Neal?

And what made "locknload" stop posting?

I've seen references here and there but would like the straight dope if anyone knows.
