I am so glad that al gore and recording artists have mended their differences in time to save the planet. I think a rock concert might be just the thing. Way to go Al! Stupid ass

Wasn't too wild of a night, but fun. Although I got there at 8:45 and had to park across the street. The place is pretty big and was packed to the rafters. The Reagan Years put on a great show, per usual.

Thank God I'm not the only one who feels this way! That man is a complete, and utter IDIOT! I love his "Do as I say, not as I do mentallity"! The man could fit 30 regular houses inside his own, he practically lives in a private jet, and travels the world burning up carbon dioxide, yet he wants you to drive a hybrid, eat bean sprouts, live in a cardboard box, and hug all the trees? What a freakin idiot!!!

He made a movie, and got billions to watch a concert he put on. As well as being vice president.

And you?

As far as your "and you" Comment goes, Am I rich? No...Have I made a movie? No...Concert with Billions? Nope again! Have I been Vice President? Once again, you got me.

No, but I have served over 16 years in the U.S. Army during 2 wars, and made a lot of sacrifices, so that People like you can come in hear and praise tree-hugging!

His goal is not to "make a movie" or get people to "watch a concert" his goal is to convince you and everyone else to use less power in order to save the planet. You seem to be a dumb-ass too

GI Jim, thank you for your service and your sacrifice.

The "average" person is responsible for 11 tons of carbon per year. Estimates for Live Earth, as a whole, will be between 74,500 tons and 125,000 tons of carbon. Madonna alone is responsible for 1012 tons of carbon per year.

"DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO" is their motto.

We watched some of it lastnight looking for Metallica. The video shorts were the funniest damn things I have EVER seen! They were so stupid, it was almost as if someone who was mocking these tree huggers had written them to demonstrate how silly these people are.

So traveling 232,000+ miles by air, consuming all of that electricity and all of those people making all of that garbage is going to save the earth, huh? What a bunch of idiots!

Funny as hell! Where are the Metallica clips, I'd like to see it! You know, if we could just find a way to put a stop to Al Gore, everyone here on this board could continue living with his or her current carbon foot print while making a significant reduction to CO2 emmissions...

Thank you sir for fighting and sacrificing for our freedoms. My hat is off to you sir!

I'm not a big Al Gore fan either, but I did enjoy the concert. It is funny though, Al Gore siding on the side of rock music after trying to censor it.

Thank you kind Sir! I challenge anyone who believes in "Global warming", to do some research! The biggest majority of scientists out there, DON'T believe in global warming. Any average volcanic eruption that happens, releases more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than all of the "Manmade" gases released since our time began on earth. Just read, before you say "me too"!!! Do I think our factories harm the atmosphere? Sure I do. Do I think we could all do our part to conserve our natural resources? Yep! Do I think we caused our planet to go through a climate change? Not even close! The earth's been going through climate changes long before we(Including Al Gore) came along! That's all I'm saying!

Uhh, yeah and all that machinery and those automobiles that have popped up over the last, say, 150 years (that WEREN'T there for the previous 2 million or so) have had NO effect whatsoever on the planet! My God, people, put your partisan bullshit aside for one moment and realize that there is a crisis going on.

And I don't know where you're getting your intel from. THe VAST majority of scientists out there DO believe global warming is and HAS occured. What they disagree on is the effect it will ultimately have, and WHEN that effect will start taking place.
This isn't a Republican or Democrat issue. It's a SURVIVAL issue. Perhaps we should all start to show a little concern for the world we're leaving behind for our grandchildren.

My 15 year old daughter was trying to pick apart the logic in the arguments presented lastnight, and I kept saying "don't ask questions, don't try to make sense out of it, just do what they say." That is exactly what they want. This whole global warming hysteria is about nothing more than MONEY. Carbon tax, anyone?

I agree. I don't know if Gore is the best ambassador for the job, but work need to start on global warming yesterday. Like you said, we've got millions of cars burning fossil fuel daily. We've got 100's of millions of air conditioning units belching out heat constantly. It has to have an effect. The effect is obvious. I went skiing in the southern Rocky mountains in February and skied on nothing but man made snow. The mountains were almost completely bare of snow. 20 years ago I was at the exact same ski resort during the same 3rd week of February and it was a winter wonderland. The kid at the ski rental shop said that this year was the best year for snow that they've had in 10 years, and the mountains were nearly bare. That freaked me the fuck out. It was 106° in Boise Idaho the other day. It was 116° in Las Vegas. The whole western part of the country is like an oven, and there are fires everywhere. People better wake up, or there's not going to be anything to wake up to.

You guys do know that in the 70's the scientists were going to purposely MELT THE ICECAPS because they were convinced earth was going to freeze due to GLOBAL COOLING.
