Robert Fleischman
Although your time was short in the band, you left your mark. You co-wrote such classics as "Wheel in the Sky" and "Anytime" as well as fan favorite "Winds of March." The only official release of your material with the band is "For You" on Time 3 Box Set (disc 1, song 6).
Had Steve Perry’s tape not landed on Herbie Herbert’s desk, who knows what may have occurred. Perhaps you could’ve joined the elite company of Paul Stanley and David Lee Roth as one of the great Jewish lead singer/frontmen in rock n’ roll history.
Speaking of Paul Stanley, in an ironic twist, your other great success came with Vinnie Vincent’s (ex-Kiss) Invasion.
Prairie Prince
Only a member for a brief time, you were one of the originals. You performed on the demo that helped get Journey their first contract. Had you not left, there is a good chance you would’ve been the drummer throughout the band’s run. If you could put up with Fee Waybill (a real weirdo) of the Tubes, you surely could’ve put up with any personality conflicts in Journey. You were the first of many great drummers that came through Journey’s ranks. Beside Journey and the Tubes, you’ve drummed for many greats. We must thank you for leaving I guess. Because if not for that, we would never had Aynsley Dunbar and Steve Smith. Besides being a fine drummer, you are also an excellent graphic artist.
George Tickner
Another original member. You played on the band’s debut album and helped define their sound early on. Truly, the Moonlight Graham of the band. You were able to live your dream by playing in a rock band, but soon after left and enrolled in medical school. Even though you left, you kept in contact with your former band mates and interest in music. You deserved the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as much as anybody.
For all of this, I would like to thank Robert Fleischman, Prairie Prince, and George Tickner for your various contributions to Journey. Fans please join in with your appreciation.

A band is a team and every part important no matter how insignificant. In the Immortal words of Simon Pegg "There is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... " Anyhow good job guys!

I'd like to thank Tickner's beard... that thing is sick. He looks like a walrus! But, in all seriousness, may we please have Jimmy Hoffa back from it now?

If I knew a single thing about any of them, I'd contribute, but since I don't, I'll just say:
Thanks for your contributions to Journey!
And that about covers it!

I just sat at a restaurant in downtown Cleveland for 3 hours with Prairie, Todd Rundgren, and the rest of his band after his show tonight. What an experience

Don't worry, NO more. Andrew shut me down. Didn't accept my compromise offer either. Totally shutdown.
I liked it better when he was sick.

I don't see a breach of
any rules. The threads serve as a great history lesson for the younger fans and the fans that are really only aware of the most popular members/incarnations. I think people are overreacting because they see the word "appreciation" and immediately assume
Back Talk. The threads serve more as a history lesson and recap of each invidual's contributions. Had it been named "Journey Rewind" with the individual members name it wouldn't be a big issue. People are simply looking for a reason to complain and don't even possess the self control to stay out of a thread they already know the contents of. One revolving thread with the names changing every other day or so would be perfect. It limits it to one thread and people can opt not to open if they're not interested. This is communist bullshit.

Mr. McNeice, tear down this wall!!!

I proposed this and Mr. Andrew McNeice turned it down.

Exactly. Although these threads were mostly brought on by the constant bashing of Journey members, past and present. I did it to give them their props.
Saint John wrote:I don't see a breach of any rules.
Perhaps I broke the unwritten MR rule of the past year or two: You must say Neal and Jon bad people. Neal a backstabber and Cain a faggot. My fault for giving the recognition they deserved.

Yes and no. I believe in free speech, but I also believe in personal property rights. Though Andrew has shut down my freedom of speech via no more appreciation threads, it is his board, so he has the right to do that. As ALWAYS, as I ALWAYS HAVE AND WILL, I will respect his right and his decision and will no longer post anymore appreciation threads. However, I really wish he reconsider, at least the compromise proposal.

I appreciate that they were ousted from the band. Journey became more sucessfull because of there departure.
