The Journey Set List

So is Journey sticking to this set list for the entire tour?

Intro/Majestic
Never Walk Away
Only The Young
Send Her My Love
Stone In Love
Ask The Lonely
Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)
Change For The Better
Who's Crying Now
Where Did I Lose Your Love
Lights
After All These Years
Open Arms
Be Good to Yourself (Deen on vocals)
Wildest Dream
Wheel in the Sky
Edge of the Blade
Faithfully
ENCORES:
Don't Stop Believin'
Anyway You Want It

I don't like the Revelation selections at all. They are playing 2 of my least favorite on the new album. 'Never Walk Away' and 'Wildest Dream' need to be scrapped and "What I Needed" and "The Journey" needed to be added. Also as long as they are playing "After All These Years" then they need to scrap either Open Arms or Faithfully and throw Chain Reaction back into the mix. :)

I saw them on the 19th and the setlist was the same (The order of a couple may have been different) except they didn't play:

Send Her My Love
Who's Cryin Now
Where Did I Lose Your Love
Wildest Dream
Edge of The Blade

They did add:

La Do Da
Dead Or Alive
Escape
Hamonica & Guitar Jam

So, did I get ripped off on a couple of songs? Also, Deen isn't singing lead on anything anymore from what I heard.

Wildest Dream rocks. I hope they don't take it out. Take out some BS like Who's Crying Now or Lovin Touchin Squeezin. Played into the friggin ground. I think they've removed WD in favor of Dead or Alive- decent song, but not as good as WD.

Looks like my help is needed. Do I have to do everything?

Intro/Majestic
Never Walk Away
Only The Young
Send Her My Love <----- put AWYWI here and move SHML til later.
Stone In Love <-------- Get RID of that!!
Ask The Lonely
Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) <-------- Closer.
Change For The Better
Who's Crying Now
Where Did I Lose Your Love
Lights
After All These Years
Open Arms <--------- Still? Good god. Ok fine, leave it in. That can be the "beer frame".

(note: drop this and let Deen do 'Mother Father', or else I'll be at the beer stand)

Be Good to Yourself (Deen on vocals) <------ Does Deen always do that one? Interesting!! Mmmm, ok, keep.
Wildest Dream
Wheel in the Sky
Edge of the Blade
Faithfully

ENCORES:
Don't Stop Believin' <----- IF these two HAVE to be the encores, reverse them.
Anyway You Want It <----- wokred as the closer in the glory days. What's this doing in the encore now?

Pretty good but I would keep Stone In Love, get rid of Open Arms in favor of Turn Down The World Tonight. And Deen isn't singing Be Good To Yourself anymore. Arnel is. For some reason he seems to sound like he is yelling when singing this. Seems like everyone has trouble with this. JSS sounded like he was yelling as well. A much harder song to SING correctly than I thought.

Stone In Love is not only my favorite J song, but my favorite all time song.
But not like this. Don't like. Retire time. Sorry but... :?

I think Stone In Love has that same problem. When the samples were posted online, morbid cuiosity had me click those two. I didn't even get through the 30 seconds of the samples. Poor choices, IMO.

For some reason, SIL and Escape sounded MUCH better than when I first heard Arnel sing them. I think he has been working on these as they seemed to be much better the other night. Hard to tell for sure without a recent recording though.

Its NOT the song that I have a problem with - look at my user name for heaven's sake!!!!
I could give you a whole dissertation on why SIL is the most perfect song ever recorded.

Are we talking used condoms and hymen remnants down by the river near the old railroad crossing by the woods?

I think they really need to keep Open Arms. Don't get me wrong, it is my least favorite Journey ballad, but, that, along with Faithfully, are the songs Arnel as been singing the most. With that added familiarity that is his chance to really wow the crowd. My buddy, who isn't the smallest of people (LOL!!) said he got goosebumps when Arnel did it!

Then they can remove it for a while in a tour or two.
