I chose Sushi, not only does it rhyme with and have the same number of characters as the other thing I love to eat every day, but also because I wanted to express something about myself, what motivates me, what makes me tick, what makes me live for tomorrow, what excites me to no end, and what I look forward to eating at the end of every day when I come home to my wife. I may be too tired to eat a steak and baked potato, but I’m never too tired to go down on sushi. Hell, I was eating sushi the night I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out while I was living in Japan.
Sushi's my second favorite Japanese thing that I love to eat. My ichiban or "number one" favorite Japanese thing to eat every day is something that I first used to refer to as "Tongue Sushi” cause it looked like a cute little clam with part of it’s tongue sticking out. The name gradually changed to "Night Time Sushi" cause that’s when I regularly eat it. But regardless, both have the same thing in common….they give me morning breath that smells like I ate five pounds of fish during the night, and that’s a really good thing.
I've tried many cultures....er types of sushi over the years. Chinese and Korean sushi came in second I admit and it was almost a hard choice for me to make. However, I've found that the best sushi offerings are by women who moan phrases in Japanese language while I'm eating their sushi. Now that's authentic Japanese sushi at it’s best! ITSHOA.
