Not getting an argument from me, Dude. Love that avatar you're using. It really shows off Barry's amazing awareness that he always had for what was around him. There isn't a single player in all the years I've been watching football who I enjoyed watching more than the great Barry Sanders! Detroit didn't deserve his great talent!

The best runner I agree with. He couldn't catch the ball or block worth a damn though....and refused to work at improving. All round RB I may have to take sweetness or maybe even LT.

I just watched a snippet of a run where he TOTALLY broke either Andre Tippett, or Ronnie Lippett's ankles....I can't remember who wore 42 for the Pats....

This guy could stop on an electron, and start up again in a nano-second.....

I can tell you nobody ran over Andre Tippet. Dude was a beast and I was thrilled to finally see him get his due and get inducted into the HOF. 42 for the Pats back then was definitely Ronnie Lippett.

I remember seeing him play against the Raiders in '90. After the game, Bo Jackson said, "When I grow up I want to be able to run like him"
That game had 5 Heisman trophy winners. Bo, Marcus, Tim Brown, Barry...and one more....Andre Ware???

Barry didn't need to catch the ball. As far as blocking....he never had a single offensive lineman who even attempted to throw a block for him, and because of that, he was always too busy running for his life to even think about blocking. I'm not ready to put Tomlinson among the all-time greats. Another year or two with comparable numbers, I'll give in to that. I loved Walter Payton, but Sanders was simply in a class by himself and had ZERO rivals, as a running back. I've had many Cowboys' fans over the years tell me Emmitt was better than Sanders, and it's all I can do not to piss myself laughing. Emmitt couldn't carry Barry's jock!

Worked well in that playoff game in Green Bay (can't remember the year) he had like -6 yards for the game.
