Life is full of mistakes indeed. Imagine dropping your hard-earned dough on an album you are so stoked in owning - only to realize later that you would not want to be caught dead listening to it. If I can do a mulligan with these three mistakes, I would!
Clay Aiken - Measure of a man (yes, I am man enough to admit I helped this junk go platinum)
Daryll Hall - Three Hearts In a Happy Ending Machine
Neil Sedaka - Best of Neil Sedaka

That last Velvet Revolver one...it's pretty much used as a coaster.

I was really disappointed in "Hot Space" by Queen.
Figured since it was recorded between "The Game" and "The Works"...2 great discs. I thought it'd be great. Umm. no.

"Bad" by Michael Jackson. Just a total let down after "Thriller". Even the compilation album "Farewell My Summer Love" was better in my opinion.

I like two of the above three, both "Strange Highways" and "Lock Up the Wolves". The former, especially, is rather good.

That's a great album, no need to be ashamed about owning that. I had that and "Fantastic" (The Japanese version).

Why poison someone else. You should have just shredded it. They make a nice sound in the shredder!

Time to go through my collection and have a little fun! Hmmm, anyone up for a CD shredding party? Break out the booze and start searching your collection.

The library is the proud owner of all my gems so I have nothing left to shred, but please, feel free...and film it, will ya?

Motley Crue - Generation Swine
I had seen Motley Crue perform on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno one evening. They did one of the tunes from the Generation Swine album and I through that it had a nice sound to it so I went out to and got the album, and for a moment there, I thought that some of that 80's rock was coming back. So I rushed out and purchased it when it was released. After actually getting it and listening to the entire album, during one of my drives to LA in the middle of the night, I was very disappointed to say the least. Don't think I ever even played it ever again. I ended up cashing it in for store credit at Amoeba records shortly after.

This is a softball question! My coffee mug has been sitting directly on top of this suck-ass CD since about 10 minutes after I listened to it. I still think Journey should give their fans refunds for perpetrating that fraud of a cd!

I agree w/ GB. This is a great album. "Everything she wants" is one of my guilty pleasures. If I have to choose between this album and the "Music from the Edge of Heaven", I chose the former. Careless Whisper made Brooke Shields drop her panties for George Michael. If only I have the power to write a song that will make a chick do that...

What do you mean a refund. They gave it away at the shows. Remember? Cmon John, it's not ALL bad. Some of it sucks but some is pretty good. Crappy production though.

Awwww man.
That was my very first record that was MY OWN and not one of my sister's that I used to sneak.
On
vinyl too.

It developed a bad skip all the way through "Freedom" and I was furious.

I'm a bit too old to be chasing my childhood bands around to concerts. I'm one of the suckers who actually paid retail for the cd (one of 10 sales they had). The production was DREADFUL, and so were most of the tracks. I believe there was one song worth anything on the cd. The rest of it was beyond forgettable!
