I would think he's speaking of Led Zeppelin, maybe.

I doubt it has anything to do with Journey or Arnel.

I believe he has stated that Zepplin is his favorite band. He references Arnel as being the one who told him, so I don't think it would be him.

Florida heavy metal band? First thing that came to mind was Savatage.
I'm sure it has something to do w/zep.

The Noticeboard was recently abuzz with rumors of Led Zeppelin trying out various singers.

This is definitely about Zeppelin. Not sure how anyone can deduce that this has anything to do with Journey. Pretty cool that Arnel is "in the know", though.

I have it on pretty good authority that the replacement singer for Led Zeppelin will be
David St. Hubbins. Can't reveal my sources. Just sayin'.

It was actually pretty easy considering the "Cave Man" has Led Zep album covers everywhere.

Wow...
What is going on lately?
Sure, we took a Perry-less Journey hard at first
but learned to live w/it and even came to love it.
Tons of other bands have replaced frontmen and done well but...
Can ANYONE honestly look at a Plant-less Zepp and take it seriously???
The YES debacle is one thing but this is insane...

I think the fact that the guys in LZ are seemingly on good terms will help. Also, people must remember that other members in the band have fans as well and people will still come to see them play. I don't know anything about this new guy, but I would venture to say that there will be a fair amount of interest in this lineup just because of Jimmy Page...if it happens. The nightmare for promoters is gauging just how much interest there will be and what sort of venues to book.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Plant gives the lineup his blessing or if he's salty about them moving on. I think
his attitude toward what they do will decide if the fanbase moves on or becomes divided like Journey's. I think
that's what Squire and Page were asking Schon...what to expect in certain scenarios. I hope it gets ugly. I don't like that band.

I think even without Plant, you could book anything you wanted. People would go just to be able to see the rest of the guys and to hear LZ music live for the first time in 30 years.

That's almost as bad as Arnel's fans spreading the rumors!

I think Plant will be supportive. He does not want to tour with LZ. (I don't think he "can") He is happy and comfortable in his 'new world'. He reminds me of Richie Blackmore now. He can always do LZ stuff, but he is doing something else he finds rewarding. Best of all worlds. But, regardless of his support, there will be a divide in the fan base. It is inevitable. But I think it will stay tame...sorta like the VH camps. Strong emotions but not "violent" like Journey's became.

Well, why would Arnel be talking to Caveman about Zeppelin? Wonder if Arnel is interested in offering his services. Got to wonder cause I know Arnel can sing Zeppelin tunes well also.
