Ok, here's the deal....There are 3 things I wish to do. And I can't decide:

2010 Red Sox Fantasy Camp, a new bike, and a LCD TV.....

So, I can either go to the Fantasy Camp

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/bos/fan_forum/fantasy_camp.jsp

OR

get the TV and the bike:

http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?sid=09Allez&eid=115

and

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8911582&type=product&id=1215216782035

What should I do?

I REALLY want to go to the camp..... :D

I'm sure John from Boston would go as well....at least I think he would...

I'll let the MRs decide what I do....

(you better choose the camp)

Go to the camp. You'll eventually get the tv anyway, probably the bike too.

TV and Bike. You can WATCH all the baseball you want on a FAT ASS TV. Best of both worlds. DONE! ...NEXT!

Go with the material Possessions. Samsung makes a killer t.v., comparable to Sony.

While I can come in and say something not so nice about the red sox...the fact remains, that unless you're going to Disney World....no 'trip' is worth more than a nice, pimped out flat screen and a bike.

Even being a Red Sox fan, I would take the TV/bike combo. 8)

Bike and TV. The camp is temporary. The TV and Bike are days of fun to be had for a long time.

Dude, I am the most rabid Red Sox fan you'll ever meet in your life, and have been since 1975. Even I wouldn't be showing up at "fantasy camp". Fantasy camp is for washed up losers, trying to recapture something from their youth (hmmmm...a Journey concert is coming to mind here  )

If you're looking for a little fantasy, see if you can coax the old lady in to inviting one of her friends over for the night    Even though 46 inches is far too small and I'm not a fan of Samsung, you should still take the tv, and RUN!

2) There is no old lady.....
3) I thought YOU , of all people would appreciate RS Fantasy Camp....
4) 46' is big enough....

I would do the camp, someday you might not have the energy, health or whatever and memories last!!!
you never know what will come your way with that opportunity and you might meet totally cool friends....

You can do an extra job or sell a kidney and get the t.v. later, big deal its a t.v....nothing good on anyway... :)

We'll agree to disagree. I remember the 80's well when Samsung was one of the worst manufacturers of electronics in the world. They've obviously made progress since then, but I'm still not sold. I also hate LCD, but that's a different discussion for a different time. I have a couple of Pioneer plasmas, and you won't find a better picture by ANY manufacturer, including Samsung!

StocktontoMalone wrote:2) There is no old lady.....

Even better, dude! That means you have no marriage vows to get in the way of any fantasies you want to live out:shock:

StocktontoMalone wrote:3) I thought YOU , of all people would appreciate RS Fantasy Camp....

Go figure! I actually wouldn't be caught dead at any "fantasy camp". Hell, you'll never even catch me wearing a player's sports jersey on my back, because I just think it's goofy. I grew up playing competitive sports and loved every minute of it, but I have no interest to pretend that I play for the Red Sox. Now, if you want to go tour the hallowed grounds of Fenway Park, and get a behind the scenes tour, I'm in complete favor of that!

I buy a new tv every 3 years, whether I need it or not. The thing you'll learn is that they shrink VERY quickly. I have a 60 inch Pioneer plasma, and wish it were 80 inches! The good news is that if you're content with 46", it saves you a whole lot of money, because tv's in that size are much more affordable than the big monster sets are! Good luck with your purchase, and let me know if Samsung has finally stopped sucking

The majority went with TV so far, so I'll probably get made fun of for my answer, but I say the camp. Material crap will always be there, and there will be a bigger/better/cooler model out in a 6 months anyway. Take the experience. Those only come once in a lifetime.

Dude! It sounds like you want to go to the camp, so that would be my pick.
