Considering I lost my sister to breast cancer, and my mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor, and so my wife and daugher (not to mention ME) are at higher risk for it, I would say it's not a funny joke here.

I give large amounts annually to various cancer awareness and research charities I would say I do my part.

I'm sorry, didn't mean to offend you, just wanted to piss you off enough to get you to put a pink ribbon in your sig.

I'm very sorry about your sister and I wish your mother in law the very best.

Now, put a pink ribbon somewhere and go help your wife with a self breast exam.

Sorry, but my avatar stays the same. Besides, I know first hand all about breast cancer.

Unfortunately all too many of us do, all the more reason to show your support.

With all due respect, I would hardly call pink in my avatar "support." Additionally, your "man up" mandate probably made the men here a lot less likely to follow your lead. Unlike women, we don't like being told what to do.

Sorry to read this, Beef-Stu. Admirable of you to support the researching! I'm glad I found the JttC, I like that they are not just breast, but ovarian as well... such a good organization. Wonderful group of people, too. 8)
BC awareness is a cause that is close to my heart (literal and figurative) as I've stated times before. If anything, the excessive pink ribbons may just remind a few girls to self-exam or schedule a check-up which could be life-saving... you just never know!

I'm down with this, soon as I get back and have time to put it in...

Breast cancer took my grandmother at 56 and my aunt is a survivor a year removed from surgery. Both of my sisters will have to watch it too, especially my middle, she definitely got a lot of the genes from dad's side...

A reminder to all the men here: We can get breast cancer too.

If you have female family members who have suffered from this disease you need to be aware you also are at an increased risk.

If you have them then, YES.
