I, have oftened wondered whatever happened to Sherrie Swofford? For six years she was the star of Perry's life; now it seem like she just dropped off the face of earth.

I'm thinking she is doing just fine.

She is fine. Quite happy.

I hear she is in Real Estate and still receives her royalty cheques for 'Oh Sherrie' which SP signed over to her.

I believe Steve hooked her up with the royalties to the song which she still gets paid to this day. She should be doing okay. Just another reason why Songwriting is financially a more secure profession than singing. Singers can lose their voice but Songwriting royalties can go on and on and on and on.

We may have been able to find out. I was going to do a Sherrie Swafford appreciation thread and I do thorough research for those. I would've found info.

I think the post was written though as if she somehow owed it to the public to keep them updated on her life. She does not. She did not ask to be famous, have a song written about her, or even ask to be in that video. When you say she 'dropped off the face of the earth'...uhm, no she didn't. She just chose to remain a person who didn't seek the spotlight, or give yearly updates on her life.

Attacks against posts about Perry? Put down the crackpipe, Gunny. I never said a thing here about Perry. I don't post the way I do in defense of Perry. I like to highlight the holes in peoples' logic for the some of the strange shit they say about him, like all the baseball talk.... that's all.

Sherrie Swafford has had a tough life. I believe she and Steve are still friends. Maybe someday they'll dance to After All These Years.
