Just want to share w/ you this latest news from AP's site!!!!!Looks like i hear a wedding bell soon!!!

Arnel was on ABS-CBN's TV Patrol earlier on a taped interview during his courtesy call to Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte. AP sang two of the mayor’s favorite songs Chiquita and The Winners Take It All.

Other announcement from AP:

1. Upcoming wedding with his GF, Cherry on New Year’s Day. (yeah he is getting married so he can have someone to come home to after a tiring concert. AP was full of excitement when he announced this)

2. AP’s plans to put up a foundation which will benefit street kids or homeless kids like he was in his childhood.

3. He wont be able to make it on Sam Milby’s concert pending advise by his doctor because of his trangkaso.(He aplogized to Sam for not making it on his show; he needs full rest, hasn't fully recovered yet from trangkaso he contracted while performing 69 shows)

4. AP requests fellow Filipinos to support Charice Pempengco. (he was all praises for Charice!
NOTE: "TRANGKASO" means INFLUENZA OR FLU)

Well, i'm so happy for Cherry , she's one of a very lucky girl!!!!!So ladies, do we have to sing "PAIN IN MY HEART?" LOL!!!!

Yeah MG< this is a great news, he needs to marry Cherry so that he could bring her and his family to the US coz only a legal wife or husband were allowed to get a US visa and it seems like AP is planning to live w/ his family there. well, wise decision, so you guys in the US will hear more a lot of good music from the band and see a lot of concert in the future!!!!!! Good for you all!!!!

Aw, thanks, Audrey, for posting. He's a good guy. But he just built that house in the Phils. I think he's still planning to live there. But, at least, now they can be together much easier over here next year. A happy Arnel is a happy Journey equals happy fans.

Tito, I doubt there's going to be a pre-nup. They've been living together five years and have a baby. So it's like a common law marriage. She would probably slap the _____ out of him if he suggested a pre-nup after being with him during the lean times and supporting him in his dreams and loving him without the money and fame.

That is lovely news.

A question for my new Pinoy friends...why is it so hard to get a Visa to come to the USA? It doesn't seem to be so hard for us to go to the Phillipines.
And does anyone think Arnel might move his family over here to the SF Bay area? I know home is home, but so many Filipinos have come to our shores and now call the good old USA "Home". Surely there are more advantages to be had here, and being near where most of the band lives would be more convenient. 20 hours on a plane sounds exhausting!

This was definitely Arnel's year to shine...and it is only the beginning!

It's hard for them to get a visa because, when they get here, a lot of them want to stay and work here. It's just like Mexico.We can just waltz right in, but for them, it's not so easy. It's all about economics. We'll give them visas for skilled positions that we have shortages in like nursing. If we let them come unabated and they can't find work, then they become a ward of the state like many other immigrants. Even their welfare checks are more than some of them would make back in the Philippines so some are content to simply collect that check and send some of it home. I'm sure they all want to work but so does everyone from Africa and elsewhere, we can't let them all in without some form of checks and balances.
