Anyone picked up the new AC/DC cd yet? Thinking about running up to Walmart and pick it up on my lunch hour. Wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the cd. :D

I plan on getting it. VH1 Classics on Sunday had an AC/DC all day marathon. Which was great. :D

I've been listening to it for a while now... First spin was great.... It got boring after a few. It's definately AC/DC though and much better than their last 2 efforts. This one picks up where Razors Edge left off and skips the crap that came after it

If you like AC/DC, you'll love this...it is truly the classic sound from AC/DC!

I know AC/DC are legends and love to "rock", but did you really have to put the word "rock" in 4 of the CD's song titles? LOL

You didn't like "Stiff Upper Lip"? There are 4 or 5 songs on it that I really like, some not so much. But at least there was nothing as horrid as "Money Talks" on it. HATED that song the first time I heard it, and the feelings only matured with time.

"Stiff Upper Lip" was decent. The title track is excellent, in my opinion but the other stuff was just kinda bland.

Agreed. The first single is definitely the best song on it.

Jury's still out Redwing.
At first listen, nothing reached out and grabbed me like the first song, but I could stand another spin or two. It is very reminescent of their later material, so if you dig that...

AC/DC has hired a team of Formula One fitness trainers to get the band into shape for its upcoming world tour, the band's first in seven years. According to NME.com, singer Brian Johnson told the U.K.'s Absolute Radio, "Both me and Angus (Young, guitarist) have got a fitness regime. I'm getting a Formula One guy in. A fitness guy, he's trying to get me whipped into shape and size. (The show is) two-and-a-bit hours and there's no time for recovery." Young himself added that the band has no choice but to play a long show, explaining, "We know we've got to play a lot of tracks that most people who have come to know us (will want in the set)."

ACDC new CD kicks ass from what I on the radio Monday night driving home from Chicago... heard some of it on a ACDC world premiere radio event on 107.9 out of Iowa City I think... anyway the bands new MUSIC is as good as BACK IN BLACK WAS!! The damn tour is basiclly sold out I tried to get tickets yesterday for MSP and could not find seats for the Jan 19 show. Omaha sold out already. Economy sucks??? yeah right tell that to ACDC fans selling out almost the whole tour already. go to ACDC.com to see what I am talking about. Its like all our style of music is coming full circle. Revelation sounded
a little like the old days... Def Leppards new one sounded like the old days... and now ACDC. interesting.

Rick, how much did it cost to join the AC/DC fan club? And what does that get you? I might be interested. Thanks.

you will have to join the fan club...as it seems like the seats otherwise will be lousy or they show sold out or no match. Be prepared to shell out 40.00 to join.

AC/DC's new album, Black Ice, has been flying off the shelves at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores since the retail giants began selling the CD exclusively on Monday (October 20th), according to Billboard.com. Sources have reported first-day sales of 193,000 copies, with the disc potentially moving 800,000 copies in its first full week of release. Sales are far outpacing the Eagles' last album, Long Road Out of Eden, which was also a Wal-Mart exclusive.

Black Ice is also selling at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club's websites, as well as ACDC.com.
Special AC/DC mobile stores have been opened in New York City and Los Angeles, where Wal-Marts are not readily accessible.
Wal-Mart reportedly ordered 2.5 million copies of the record from Sony Music, with a guarantee to sell them all.

Holy shit!!! Awesome to see bands like AC/DC, The Eagles and Journey having success. Though Journey's success was nowhere near the other two. If Perry could/wanted to sing they'd be bumping uglies with the big boys too.

Anyone else think the new AC/DC album is kind of...weak? There's a couple of decent tracks but nothing that even matches up to "Hard As A Rock," let alone The Razor's Edge or their classic LP's.
